My partner and I were visiting from out of town and this was close to our hotel and had good reviews, but we were sorely disappointed. The food and coffee were absolutely delicious, but the service was the worst service my partner and I (who both work in the service industry) have ever had. It took over an hour for us to be seated, despite many empty and cleared tables, and we almost weren't sat at all because the handwritten list being used to keep track of names went missing for a while. Our server, Willie, while very friendly, took almost 20 minutes to bring us our coffee and even had to come back to double check our coffee order (two black coffees). It then took another 30 minutes before we got our food and 15 minutes after he had first written down our order, once again, came back to double check what we had ordered (at first getting it wrong) and we then watched him *finally* put our order in the computer. Once our food came, we still needed silverware and that took at least two minutes and when we asked for hot sauce, our server never brought it. After my partner went looking for it himself, it was a different server that finally brought us some. It was absolutely the slowest and worst service we have ever had and while the food was delicious, we will not be going back.

Great little spot a few blocks from the convention center. Delicious coffee, friendly quick service, and cozy little spots to sit with both tables and couches. Great meeting spot.

Had a basic breakfast sandwich. Added avocado - it was quite overripe. Definitely needed some sort of sauce, even mayo or some aioli would have really upped the sandwich game. Breakfast potatoes were buttery and delicious!

On this visit the place was busy. They were understaffed. Comments in no particular order. My sever did not give me a good first impression. She was a younger server lacking professional experience. My Sandwhich which took a lot longer than expected to be made was served with the tomato and mayo on the bottom which soaked the toasted bread into mush. The lazy busboy apparently felt comfortable with his sagging pants as he went about his duty. Meal was literally dropped off on my table with no other amenities being offered, like silverware, napkins, or anything else for that matter. I'll chalk it up to bad timing but I cannot recommend trying to dine there on a Sunday afternoon.

Worst service ever! Waited 30mins to be seated, placed order and waited over an hour no food! Manager was no help! No apology asked us to pay for coffee!!

Blondie's currently has dine-in which followed most covid guidelines, all staff wore a mask properly, but almost all tables were full and some tables were close to others. My food experience was excellent. The Eggs Benedict was one of the best I've had so far. Perfectly toasted muffins, finely poached eggs, and a great hollandaise sauce. The Irish cream espresso was great addition to the meal, the right amount of sweet and bitterness.

Poor Customer Service, Burnt Old Potatoes

Yesterday I ordered lunch at Blondie's with my sister and I ordered a Chicken Ceasar Wrap with potatoes. This is the meal that I typically order when I am at Blondie's. The potatoes were burnt and hard. However, this is the fourth time that I have ordered this meal and the potatoes have been burnt. In the past I have not brought the potatoes back and took it as a loss. However, this time I decided to save the potatoes and bring them back the following day. Yesterday I did not get a chance to eat until about 8:30, I had to teach a class from 6-8pm. Today when I brought the potatoes in this morning, I spoke with Lilly Byrne. Lilly stated that they did not have the ingredients to make the Chicken Ceasar Wrap and that I could order something else or wait until later. Around 1pm, I went back and ordered the Chicken Ceasar Wrap with potatoes. I was still charged $10.10 even though I had to come to the restaurant twice due to them not having the ingredients and my potatoes were burnt.

I am frustrated at this situation due to my potatoes being burnt for the fourth time and having to come up to the restaurant twice. For me, it is about the principle and inconvenience on the customer. I DO NOT have an issue with paying for my food, but honestly, I would expect for Blondie's to at least cover the $10.10. I eat at Blondie's regularly and order the same thing each time. I should not have to come back to Blondie's twice to resolve an issue that should have never happened in the first place. Also, Lilly made a comment stating that "if McDonald's gets her order wrong and she has to go back up there, that they don't give her gas money". Again, I am not asking for gas money or any handouts. I want to ultimately feel like I am being heard, valued, and appreciated.
