La Belle Vie / The Cafe at Frenchtown

My boyfriend and I got the chance to attend the Valentine’s pop up and it was an amazing evening! The cafe was decorated beautifully, the drinks were unique and delicious, the charcuterie board was filling and fun! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly, cozy, atmosphere! Can’t wait to attend with a girl friend tomorrow!

Good food and great staff! Came on New Years Eve while they were very busy and short staffed, but still had good service and delicious food. My parents are even quite critical of food, but said they would come back. Major props to them!

Food was unique and delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. Great vibe with tons of seating and outlets for working from the cafe. 5 stars all around.

Awesome atmosphere, plenty of room to distance, easy to find something on the menu, easy to find, good coffee.

Very disappointed in my recent experience here and the shop employees were disrespectful. I had previously called in earlier in the week to reserve a table for 6 for a special birthday brunch in the afternoon. She forget to ask my name. We played voicemail tag, in which I gave her the name and reiterated the time. Upon arrival, they were packed but I was happy because we had a reservation. We were told no more seats. There was a reserved party of 30+ in the back. I stated we had a reservation, and they told us they thought our reservation was earlier (40 minutes prior) and we no showed. No phone call, nothing. They told us to leave. I argued a little, because wth? No call? Nothing? The reality is they valued the party of 30+ more than the party of 6. I'll bet if they didn't show they would have gotten a phone call. It's rude. I was angry since I had made reservations, specifically for outside. Problems like this are how businesses fail because they stack bad decision upon bad decision. Hopefully they train their staff better.

However, won't be back due to what it led to for us - - a very stressful time trying to figure out what to do next and where to direct people, and ended in a cluster with the person even breaking down crying. We reserved 1, didn't eat lunch until 3:45. Thanks guys.

A hidden gem! We're looking for a cafe and we found La Belle Vie! We ordered the classic french toast and latte. Wow! It was so delicious! The latte was to die for! You walk inside and the area has a cozy feeling, and the staff was super nice and friendly! We strongly recommend La Belle Vie! We're from out of town, and when we come back, we'll definitely eat there!

Probably the best Bloody Mary I've ever had! Chicken salad on Croissant was delicious as well!

La Belle Vie is a definite gem for St. Charles! Their cafe provides a charming atmosphere and their coffee selections and food items are all so delicious. They recently catered a baby shower brunch for me at Fairheart and the food and service were both superior!! If you are searching for a caterer or just wanting a relaxing and delicious breakfast or lunch, visit La Belle Vie!!
