Amazing food! We are from out of town and were staying close by. We tried the biscuits and gravy (melt in your mouth), Lake Bake, French Toast, crosiant sandwich, lattes, matcha latte, omelette, and avacado toast. Every single dish was full of flavor! Great indoor and outdoor seating options. Friendly staff, and quick service. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly matched! We will be back when we visit Saint Charles again!

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff are great, the owner is humble, friendly and welcoming. The food is freaking excellent. Biscuits and gravy 👌 all of the omelettes 👌 and the flatbreads 👌. We had a large group go in and the service was near flawless considering the size of our group. I’m absolutely impressed, and we’ll definitely be returning!

WOW! WHAT A HIDDEN GEM! ☕
Everything from a super friendly staff to truly homemade and fresh breakfast items.
I had the Breakfast Crepe (Meat, Egg, & cheese) with a side of fresh sausage gravy. 😋 Delicious!!
Our motorcycle group TWO WHEEL JAVA (with about 25 of us) we were all able to order coffee and food in a short time.
Thanks for the great food and service!
Highly recommend 👍

Decent food and service. I ordered the crêpes and they were decent, but not at all what I would consider authentic. Typically crêpes are marbled and the ones I was served were dark brown- not quite burnt, but close.
I'll give it another chance and try a different menu item.

We tried this place, this past weekend because it came with a high recommendation, the food was absolutely incredible!
However it's a counter order type of place, and apparently you're not allowed to pick a table before ordering, to prevent people from going thru the order line, and then not having anywhere to sit(as someone came up & said something) Of course, you have to get up and go back to the counter to get more coffee, or a togo box. I felt that it was very pricey for a place without servers. It was just an awkward experience for me.
I felt like maybe they should at least add a door greeter to ensure a better customer experience. Probably would only get it togo moving forward.

Haddie is back at it with her coffee reviews, she has a few more to share before the year is over. This time around she revisited La Belle Vie / The Cafe at Frenchtown. As a family we highly recommend. The food is always delicious and distinguished. Their signature entrees are amazing regardless of time of day!
Whether you are traveling through town or homegrown, this Cafe is the place to be!

An exceptional find in Frenchtown -- most unexpected. The food was fresh and very flavorful, served in a relaxing, comfortable setting. The staff was pleasant and did a good job, and the portions were ample. I was very impressed! I highly recommend it for those in the St. Charles area.

My whole family is obsessed with La Belle Vie. The food here is just outstanding. A personal favorite that you just have to try is the jalapeño popper grilled cheese. The quiche is the best I’ve had, and the chicken salad croissant, French onion soup, and chai latte are very good as well.
It would be great if they heated the cinnamon rolls before serving to customers, but other than that, the food is the best!

Best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. My father-in-law and husband are very particular when it comes to their lattes and saying statements like the following are very purposeful for them; they both said, “This is the best latte I’ve had.” Plus, on the food side of things, very fresh ingredients, many options, and displayed beautifully! On top of that, the environment was the best coffee shop environment I’ve ever been to. Biggest downside: I live 6 hours away from this place 😭 lol! Side note: If you’re a Christian and you want to support a fellow Christian business they did not advertise this but several books on there shelf pointed to solid Christians which we very much appreciated. We will be going here ANYTIME we visit St. Charles. 💖

A bit slow with service considering they weren't busy at all. But staff is beautiful and friendly to boot. 2 blocks from my home and I feel blessed. Clean elegant with great style inside and out. Stop and see these guys..well worth it...your welcome.
