Gailey's Breakfast Cafe

Hands down the best place to eat downtown to showcase downtown. Be it at when they first open, their peak time or right as they're closing, the service and quality of food is always five stars. The prices are reasonable and the menu is great with many dietary options that is real food and not a gimmick. You can just sit at the bar for a drink or bring the family for dinner. Missing out if you don't check it out.

I've heard many people rave about this place so I was excited to try. For how busy it was, I do think the service was fairly quick. Our lattes were both really good, but the food was disappointing. I got the breakfast casserole and I was surprised that it was more like a muffin? I can't really hold that against them but it was pretty bland and dry, so I'll definitely be getting something else in the future. My partner ordered the bear hug plate and his bacon initially came out very floppy and all pink and fatty with no brown. We aren't normally so picky about bacon but it truly seemed undercooked. We politely asked if there was something that could be done like throwing it on the grill just a little longer. Since they couldn't throw it back on, the server put in for a side of bacon. When we were done eating, the bacon finally came and it was four tiny pieces charred to bits, and the person setting it down said "here's that extra crispy bacon for you...." as if we had been extremely demanding. I assure you, there is a happy medium between essentially raw and burnt to black bits. His hash browns and eggs were cooked to perfection though. All that being said, I am willing to give it another try (maybe on a less busy day).

This place has good food and drinks. The atmosphere is fun and there is local art all over the walls to purchase. The service is sooooo slow. They have a "no camping" sign by the door. I asked our server what that meant and she said its so people don't hang out all day. I thought that was funny and ironic. We've been in town for 5 days and we've already had breakfast there twice. I did have my poached eggs show up more like hard boiled but they fixed it right away. Morning cocktails are top notch. I really like the menu and the food is good. I'll be back.

We came up from Branson for a doctor's appointment, but we we will be making special occasion trips back to Gailey's. This place was stupendous! Service was beyond exceptional. The food was delicious. And how do you argue with a flight of mimosas?! It was love at first bite for us at Gailey's. The rethinking of southern comfort food was incredibly well thought out and executed. There are so many choices we have to come back and sample more! Well done!

Went to Gailey’s today and had an excellent time with friends! The food was tasty, filling, and not too pricy! I personally had the freedom waffle and it was just as a waffle should be (crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside) the others seemed to enjoy their food as well. The Service was great, she checked in regularly and the kitchen staff had our food ready in no time at all. The only downside to Gailey’s is the atmosphere is dated, that’s not a bad thing as it’s a must eat at restaurant and has been a part of the SGF community for years now (Longer than I’ve been alive if not double or triple my age.) overall I give it a 5/5 and will definitely return again!

Gailey's was a short walk from our Airbnb so we chose to go there for breakfast. The service was really good. My husband and I both ordered omelettes. They arrived in a timely manner and were great! The server was attentive. We went on a Thursday morning so we didn't feel rushed and had a relaxing meal. Highly recommend. Would eat there again.

Been to Gailey's a handful of times now, and I've always been pretty pleased with my experience. The breakfast mac n cheese and biscuits and gravy are delicious! Have always had pleasant and friendly waiters who are always so sweet and helpful! My only complaint comes from my last visit. We were on the wait list for about 35 minutes, no problem. However, when we got the text that our table was ready we came in to find out that our table was not exactly ready yet, which resulted in us having to wait another 15 minutes at the hostess counter which is quite a cramped space with a lot of foot traffic. Awesome overall my only advice to management/staff is to not have people come in before their table is actually ready to keep that space at the front from being so full!

Food was amazing. Super fast service considering they were packed. Waitress always kept my coffee full.

Enjoyed a great mother's day lunch with family. Everyone got something different and each was delicious.
