This place has terrible service and mostly terrible food. Bacon is soggy and fatty - not edible. Even my kids refused to eat the bacon. The Eggs Benedict was clearly canned tasteless hollandaise and eggs were undercooked. I could make a much better version pretty quickly at home. The server didn’t greet us or circle back to ask how the food was - it was very transactional and cold even though it wasn’t busy. Their pancakes are great and our kids liked the decorations. This is our second time and second bad experience.

Eh. Just ok. They only have one server so are understaffed. They were out of rye. Toast on top looked good but under, it was burnt in the middle and raw on the edges. Sausage gravy was watery/runny. Strawberries were dethawed but old pinkish and soggy. It wasn’t horrible but I have eaten and MUCH better mom&pop breakfast eateries.

Breakfast was good. We were worried because we are from out of town and didn't reserve anything, but went right at opening and got in with no problems. Food was good and they brought fresh drinks when needed. They didn't check often but there was no reason for them to as we were fine so it was appreciated because we were chatting. I asked for bacon well done and my request was accommodated with no trouble. We also appreciated the option to get 1/2 an omelet as this isn't offered a lot of places. Good experience.

I had the biscuit and gravy, and let me tell you, it was delicious. The biscuits were so soft, and the gravy was so flavorful. My wife had the egg and cheese croissant and the huge cinnamon roll. The spot was a nice little hometown. Cafe.

We were meeting other guests here and the waitress was beyond rude she yelled at the person that was waiting for us reserving our table. Literally yelled at her and said oh no this is not going to happen. We had no idea what she was talking about and she was upset because it was supposed to be four of us and it wound up being five one being a 6-year-old. That started the whole situation she was very rude obnoxious very short and a horrible waitress the food was pretty average nothing to complain about and nothing to brag about. She told us next time we needed to have reservations which it does not State on the door anywhere and it's a little restaurant that you would assume you would not need reservations this was not brought to our attention. I'll never go there again due to the horrible service.

Take pride in welcoming you and your family into their restaurant. The atmosphere is currently filled with seasonal Halloween decorations that take your eyes and mind on a trip that will put a smile on your face and stir some memories of Halloweens past. I’m told the Christmas decorations are quite extensive and will also be on display when the time comes. This alone has and will warm the hearts of many a customers and make the trip well worth your time.

There’s also lots of eye candy for those whom enjoy the outdoors with hunting lodge types of pictures of hunting dogs and hand carved and painted wild fowl and fish that have some blue ribbons attached to them is a must see.

I have been a repeat customer now ever since my first visit to this exceptional now favorite breakfast spot. The owners have a passion for family and seniors and I have to say it’s a local favorite with many regulars. The menu is very nice and the portions generous and the value is just right. I don’t think I saw anything on the menu over ten dollars.

I had a chance to chat with Cheryl whom is the kindest waitress that gets to know your order and moves like lightening and most times has your drink order before you even sit down. After going there a few times she has my order memorized and it’s three of four variations and always offers some conversation that makes you laugh with some interesting scuttlebutt of the time. Then I have to say the eggs that Brian cooks are some of the best over easy eggs anywhere. The signature breakfast is the Egg-Cetera Omelet, this is one you would want to try if you have a hearty appetite as it is quite filling with all the ingredients nothing to add as it’s all there.

Lastly there is a display of the town of Waconia showing all the buildings and water tower, I don’t know how many ceramic or hand crafted items they have but it’s a lot and they are lite up and one has a good time just looking at that for quite some time. After going back to it a few times I now know there is a story to almost each and every piece. People from around town have donated personal items so it has become sort of a community effort to build this display.

I really wanted to write this up for the Egg-Cetera Café and if you go there to check it out you will know why. So my secret is out…This is a great place to go, do yourself a favor and enjoy a breakfast or lunch while the decorations are on display. Enjoy!

Love this little cafe! An absolute dream brunch spot for those of us with Celiac! The owner has Celiac and is very knowledgeable about gluten free and nearly everything on the menu can be made GF. I’ve tried just about everything but my absolute favorite are their GF pancakes. They are spongey, delicious, and remind me exactly of how pancakes “used to” taste when I was a kid. Small town place located off Highway 5 in Waconia. Definitely stop in for the best brunch of your life!

First time in this restaurant, and I was a little apprehensive because of the location. However, the staff there was so inviting, charismatic and the food was very homey!

I have been here multiple times and every-time it’s never good, but recently the last time I went was the worst. I was trying to find a breakfast place with my family and decided to come her e as a last resort, I attempted to call ahead and they did not answer, but it had never been busy before so I decided just to do a walk in. As I came in the staff just stared at me, and then finally after a couple minutes decided to help me, the woman rudely asked me “how many people do you have” i said 4 and she said that wasn’t going to work and she started rambling about how I should’ve made a reservation when I did try and call, but they were too lazy to answer.

Always love going here for breakfast. Home cooked taste and they are always so kind.

We have moved to Belle Plaine but continue to drive to Wacoina so we can eat here. My husband works in Wacoina and my dad lives here. We really enjoy the delicious food and the extremely nice atmosphere and friendly people.
