Fun bakery! We tried a few baked goods (cinnamon roll, savory scone, the Tuscan pretzel, and their rooster cookie). Great food overall. Would recommend stopping by!

Delicious coffee, pastries and great service! Very busy on a Saturday morning, but they did a great job serving everyone in a timely manner.

Great bakery and coffee! Super friendly staff.

Edit: Ownership has changed, but the quality hasn't! The coffee and baked goods are still fantastic - still seems to be the original recipes. Would recommend a visit to anyone looking for great coffee and fresh baked roll or scone!
Original review: The owners, Bob and Linnea, are awesome people. Ruby's Roost is the kind of inviting place where you walk in and they greet you by name. The coffee is great, and the baked goods are even better! Homemade from scratch every day, everything is so fresh and delicious. If you haven't tried the caramel rolls do it already! They're some of the best I've ever had! Check it out. It's worth a drive!

I really enjoyed this place. I went in for the caramel pecan roll and got a cinnamon roll to try too... and I'm torn as to which I liked more. If the cinnamon roll had more pronounced layers with just a little more cinnamon/butter in the roll, it would be dangerous living so close... the flavor of the yeasted roll and the icing was so so good. The caramel roll had a thick layer of sticky caramel on top and my only regret is that I didn't take the time to properly reheat! Seems like a place you try to get to by the time they open - the line was fairly long by 8:30, although I don't think I waited longer than 10 minutes. :) Also got the raspberry muffin and the chocolate babka to share with the hubby over coffee this lazy Saturday afternoon!

What a gem! Ruby's Roost is a small town coffee shop in the heart of downtown Victoria. It is a lovely, quaint little place that sits on the corner and exudes charm. Every time we have stopped in, the owners have been working and are always so kind and up for a chat. Their coffee is delicious, and the baked goods are far superior to anything in the area. The raspberry white-chocolate scone reminds me of my childhood, and I simply cannot get enough! We are moving to the area, and I look forward to more visits here. I think we found our new weekly coffee shop stop!

Phenomenal! Cozy, warm, every attention to detail cared for. Organic 1/2 & 1/2-yes! Owners hands on making lattes with smiles, working side by side with energetic & enthusiastic young team. Plenty of seating inside or outside, and don't get me started on the Blueberry scones! This is a coffee shop that has the true feel of a European-style shop. Stay for hours, let this place charm you into the present moment 😎😎

Great coffee and the best sweet rolls in the Twin Cities area!

If you are looking for a coffee house, look no further Ruby’s Roost is it! Not only do they have coffee but they also have amazing baked goods, made fresh daily by the owners. The owners are an amazingly warm and welcoming family, literally the whole family plays a role in the shop! They take time to talk to you and genuinely care about their customers!
Best caramel rolls around!
One item to note they do not offer any gluten free items as far as the bakery goes. But I have tested a few of the specialty coffee drinks and they are gluten free. If you need your beverage to be dairy free they can also accommodate that with coconut milk. Just give them a heads up if you have any questions or concerns they will do what they can to accommodate you.
We travel to this place! We skip the awful coffee shop we have in our tiny town and drive to this one, it’s so worth the drive! And it’s a beautiful drive from the MSP. If you want to get out of the city on the weekend I would recommend heading out early to get some baked goods before they sell out!

“Made from scratch” (says it all)
When’s the last time you heard someone say:
“That’s the best granola bar in the universe”.
Well, it happened at Ruby’s Roost. Today.
Honestly, I think RR’s granola bar is better than a fudge brownie. Is that possible? Find out from yourself.
