I live right around the corner and work from home, so I thought it would be a great place to drop in occasionally. The first time in, I got the cold press and it had a weird oily film, the second time I got the iced tea which was good, but $3.75 (before tip) for a pretty small glass, the 3rd round I got a straight black coffee for $2.75. The black coffee was decent, the cup was a bit smaller than average, but I went for a refill and they charged me another $2.75!!! That is just too much for average coffee especially if you are going to be there for any amount of time. But I'm stupid, I'm sure I will be back.

Very nice environment. The art was intriguing and the interior was nicely lit and a good place to work, study, or hang out with friends. The coffee on the other hand is absolutely terrible. Never have I bought a drink at spy house and been satisfied with it. There black coffee is sour and acrid and their espresso is disappointing aswell. Along with that, their service is poor. The baristas seem to be determined to show you how cool and hipster they are by being aloof and rude. I give it two stars. I only returned to spy house because I locked myself out of my car and needed a place to hide from the cold. I will not return unless some unfortunate circumstances force me through their door.

Their specialty coffees feature some floral flavors, which are personal favorites of mine. During COVID they were limiting people in the building. Service was quick and friendly. No complaints from me. I'll be going again.

Generally loud and crowded. If you want to study, I'd recommend never unless you have headphones or can tolerate loud noise, or come at dead times. Its usually full of students. The coffee is a 50/50 on quality and honestly kind of pricey? Nice ambiance, however. Its chill and I enjoy the open floor plan.

spyhouse has long been one of my favorite coffee shops! their beans are delicious, their atmosphere is great, and the baristas are what make it a great place to get coffee.
however, union busting is disgusting! spyhouse employees deserve to have their union recognized and I will not be visiting spyhouse until the union is either recognized or voted for. shameful.

Not my main go-to in Minneapolis-St. Paul but worth your while. Coffee is solid and consistent. This location is often quite busy. I do like the music but they could stand to turn down the volume. Bring a pair of headphones if you're working.

Coffee was subpar with little to no taste in the specialty drinks, as well as expensive. Also the menu online states that gluten-free pastries are offered but there are none.

Ordered a small latte and Danish. 8$ The latte was superb and the pastry was good. The barista that took my order and the one who made my latte were both friendly. It was crowded inside and out, but we found chairs easily. I loved the art that was displayed. Some of the reviews are bad, so I was wary, but my experience was great.

Good ambiance and food. However, one of the staff felt the need to aggressively clean around me, including sweeping my feet, while I was studying there. I looked to see if she was doing it to other customers. Nope. Just me. I had purchased food and it felt very racial. It's sad, and even sadder when you consider how racially diverse the neighborhood is. Would avoid.

The best cappuccino I've ever had. I asked the barista for a espresso drink that didn't contain so much milk but wasn't so dried either and she made me just the best drink I've had in a long time. The place is really nice very lively and centrally located, however they have several locations around Minneapolis. Coffee is high quality
If I lived in Minneapolis this would be my everyday coffee shop.
