Never been here before and just got done with breakfast. Not only was the service amazing, but the food was so yummy. I will definitely becoming back here and would recommend it to anyone passing through who is wanting a really good breakfast.

We stopped in for a hearty breakfast before a snowshoe trek, and were greatly impressed! Everything had a homemade feel to it from the French toast to the crisp thick wide strips of bacon and the fluffy eggs. The service was great, friendly, and fair pricing. Awesome!

I always love eating here after I've left the BWCA. It seems to be a hang out for the locals, at least the times I've been here. The people are always so friendly and you can gather a lot of information about the local lakes and fishing reports. The food is always delicious, but I've only had breakfast here. I will be back. Bring the kids...

Fresh lake Superior herring! Yum

Stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town and it did not disappoint. It has a cozy, small town diner feel and staff is very friendly. Food was delicious and homemade. Will definitely stop back by when I’m back in town

Best breakfast on the north shore, best fried potatoes on the planet. The place is very cheap and the food cannot be beat. You see truckers, fisherman and the locals all eating here. Be warned though, if you are uptight and expect to be pampered and expect linen tableclothes and spotless silverware and posh surroundings? SOB is not the place for you and you need to go elsewhere...and they only take cash.

Busy place on a Saturday morning, but even knowing that, the wait was ridiculous. Our waitress was awesome - funny despite being so busy. Do NOT order the pancakes. They were very flat, undercooked, and no flavor. The hashbrowns were pretty good though.

Awesome traditional breakfast. Quick and friendly service! My coffee mug was never empty and they offered us coffee to go. Loved that!

Very friendly service, and good service. But it took a long time to get food and it was overpriced for quality and quantity of it. And no one ordered food when we did, it was empty and it still took a long time and it's not like its fresh out of the garden or anything. But the place is small and cozy with friendly service which doesn't make up for prices, ect. but it still is nice.

Hard for small town restaurants during the pandemic. With the huge regulations, it makes it almost impossible to make enough and the town doesn't have enough employees regularly...everyone is overworked and tired out. They are doing a great job. Food good, just a tad slower, but amazing service...with knowledge of the general stress and fatigue...it will help your experience...
