Customer service was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and very affordable. I am a big fan of painted rocks and loved the collection here I wish there a was sign so you could learn the back story of why they have so many? Also bought some chocolate here which were delicious too - but less affordable. $7 for a tiny bag of non pareils was a bit steep!

Cute candy shop with restaurant upstairs, much character. All the staff were very nice and friendly. We visited for breakfast and bought some candy on our way out. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety of menu items. However, overpriced for portion sizes. We waited a long time for our food and a long time to get our bill even though it was not very busy. Single bathroom opens up directly into the dining room, which is uncomfortable. The restaurant was up a large flight of stairs and the elevator was out of order. This was an ok place to stop if you are visiting from our of town, but I would not go here again.

Great family establishment! Love going here every time we go to to Marquette. Love the environment, family, staff, and offerings. Whether your craving salty or sweet, they've got you covered! Bucket list worthy when you are in town. They also own the Delft if that tickles your fancy too!

We decided to try out Donckers because the name was very distinctive. The shop has an early twentieth century feel, with the shop portion displaying items in every nook and cranny. An amazing array of candies and chocolates are on sale, and appear to be made onsite. We put our name on the list for seating upstairs and within about 10 minutes we were seated. Everyone was very friendly and nice. We ordered burgers and an order of mac and cheese. I had the firecracker burger, and it was a great combo of flavors. I personally did not feel like it was spicy, but then I also eat very spicy foods daily. My son had a bacon cheeseburger and pronounced it excellent. My other son was not a fan of the mac and cheese, which was a shame. The ambience, food and people here guaranteed that we'll be back!

Great little shop that offers all kinds of chocolates, candies, and sweets. I bought a bag of carmels that were delicious. I believe they also offer food but we didn't get anything while we were here.

We ate breakfast here after staying the night in Marquette on the way to Munising. Very good food. Lots of great vegan options. I had the Abbey Road breakfast burrito, my husband had the Trailhead omelette and my daughter had a breakfast plate with eggs, bacon and hash browns. It was all freshly prepared and delicious! I wish we had tried the orange juice that is fresh squeezed because the ladies at the next table raved about it.
This place is quaint and they use solar energy which I respect. We sat in the smaller back room and the windows were open so there was a nice breeze coming in.
They sell chocolate truffles and other treats at the soda fountain downstairs- we got some tiramisu and caramel truffles and some of the sea salt caramels which were all very good!!
Highly recommend this place for breakfast and a treat.

This place is awesome!!! 125 YEARS OLD and has stayed true to its authentic candy counter and restaurant style. We've made it a tradition to go on the first day of school for breakfast and love the lunches. Great Food!!!

Owners "Jen & Tom" are the best, both as owners and in our community!!!

Everything was fantastic! Staff were all wearing masks and the restaurant was relatively clean. I had the mac and cheese on the specialty menu, called the Mac attack. My partner had a turkey sandwich. Both were marvelous! You have to walk through a candy store to get into the restaurant, so we couldn't not buy chocolates on the way out ☺️

Nice lunch spot and candy shop in downtown Marquette.

The candy and knick knacks are super cute and a lot of the desserts look home made and delicious.

The lunch menu upstairs has a lot of good stuff and they have a lot of home made soups and sides.

The sandwiches are great and the broccoli cheese soup is some of the best I've ever had.

Their Mac and cheese sounds really good but ended up being a bit bland, but everything else was fantastic.

Good place for snacks and lunch.
