The mood here is so mellow and laid-back is such a great place to go if you need any kind of inspiration, to meet with friends and family, I just sit down and have a good thought to yourself with a great cup of joe or tea if that's your preference. Last time I was there they had some really great pastries also. It can be hard to get too because it's located in a weird little jut of Street but definitely worth the visit

This coffee shop used to be bustlin and the go to place. Now it's rundown by homeless stinking up the inside and rolling cigarettes for hours. Baristas refuse to do anything about it and the shop is empty.

They did not tell us that they were over capacity until AFTER we paid for food and coffee. We had laptop bags and clearly had come to work. They should have told us in advance.
Coffee is second wave and not all that great. As others have mentioned, it's a burnt roast. For the same price or less, you can go elsewhere for better coffee.

This place is so cute. Loved the little cottage type feel and the staff was very friendly. Wide variety of drinks to choose from;of which, I enjoyed the iced tea but the coffee was very strong and didn't offer much flavor. Other than that it's worth visiting again when we come back to their neighborhood.

We have been going to WSCJ for almost 30 years. We have celebrated many happy times together as a family at WSCJ. I can’t wait to take my granddaughter.

Mind blowing, how well some people can produce excellence in a perfectly curated space. From the midcentury hug you get in the dining area, to the truly delightful food offerings...Water Street is a must, for this traveler

Some of the best coffee in Kalamazoo - the light roasts are consistently great and the food is terrific too. Service is always friendly, even during the morning rush. Outside seating is wonderful - wish there was a bit more room on the inside though. Parking is the only real challenge here at their downtown location.

Cute local coffee shop with great coffee. Great environment to WFH or get work done on a laptop, or meet up with a friend for a drink.

All the fun of your favorite local coffee shop with about a quarter as much elbow room! There's nothing I can say that hasn't been said before about the size of the downtown location. Fine for a quick to-go, but nigh impossible to dine in. Waterstreet continues to be one of my top favorite coffee joints, but I'll personally stick with the Oakland Drive location.

Love going to this place to study. Although the inside is a little cramped if it's busy, it's amazing atmosphere makes it a great place to focus on work. Drink and food wise everything is good! I've never had a food item or a drink I haven't liked.
