Goodale's Bakery & Deli

I stopped here yesterday on my way across the state. I debated writing a review at all but after twenty four hours, I'm still thinking about my experience. I went to the sandwich side and ordered a couple of sandwiches from an extremely rude woman. She was just really extremely short with me, didn't greet me or tell me to have a nice day, which is fine. I understand that we all have bad days.
Relieved to be done with my sandwich experience I went to the donut counter to order some donuts and not deal with this woman. She was taller, with dark brown hair, I didn't catch her name. Anyways, she's comes to the donut side to take my order and starts belittling her coworkers saying "why does she have to do everything around here" and made me feel like I was wasting her time when I knew what I wanted, was quick about ordering, and it wasn't busy in the shop.
I work in service and I totally get not wanting to smile constantly and maybe she was having a bad day. But something tells me this woman is consistently miserable and rude to people and the fact that I had this experience yesterday and I spent a day wondering what was wrong with this woman or wondering if I did something to upset her has stuck with me and made me write this review.
The customer service could be better.

Joe's! Had a 2 pm delivery time, they took me at 7Am. It is a hand unloaded delivery, usually 1 pallet. There is a place to park on the street, Norway! SUPER NICE PEOPLE!

It's always nice, clean, friendly, good, service, good food, great baking goodies, drinks sodas or tea,water,pasties mmm good the gravy is the best. Can't say enough

Was really looking forward to this place but you’re only as good as your staff. Decent sandwiches. Staff behind the counter seemed to be friendly and nice to all the locals in front of us, which didn’t include us. When my wife and I came to the counter I asked what a Kaiser roll was in which the gal behind the counter gave me some attitude and said it’s basically a large hamburger bun then rolled her eyes at us. Short, unfriendly, don’t recommend if you are looking to be treated kindly.

This is a must stop for lunch. Everything I tried was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful 10/10.

What a little gem! So many options breads,cookies,pastries,donuts and they have homeade food available to go that looked amazing! Everything we got was delicious especially the carrot cake donuts. They have a little area for gifts shirts,aprons,tea towels ect. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area

I'd read the other reviews about how rude the staff here is, so I thought I went in prepared... Nope! Apparently you can't just be fat and want a banana donut, beefy mac, and bacon mac n cheese, NO! You have to be called pregnant by the surly, leather faced donut slinger. Next time, just take the money, give me my stuff and don't assume you know the reproductive workings of your customers. Your food was amazing. Service, not so much.

Always fresh pastries and donuts, worth the drive
