Goodale's Bakery & Deli

This is one of the best places in Grayling. You can smell the sweet bakery goodness as soon as you step inside the door. And there's so much history here, one gets the sense that millions of delicious baked-goods have been made by generations of the same family, day-in and day-out (excepting Sundays, of course). The old men keeping shop drinking coffee every morning, old-style hot lunches available, deli sandwiches made to order, and old-fashioned pricing as well! This is a gem of a store, and it makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Well we got there around 11:30am and they didn't have the pastries l was looking for and not a big selection of donuts, the girl that waited on us didn't know to much about what they had and didn't have so my experience was not what all the hipe was about.

I absolutely love this bakery! The pasties are excellent and so are the breads and donuts. Their prices for donuts are $0.95 and up. Highly recommended! Must try.

This is my favorite bakery hands down. It is like walking back in time. Absolutely love everything they make.

I've been wanting to stop in since we moved up here. Finally made it in Saturday afternoon and I don't see what the hype was. The pastries were dry and old tasting and the employee was not friendly in the least. She acted like I was annoying her by selecting more than one pastry. I really enjoyed the cheese selection but it was basically things you can buy elsewhere. I didn't end up eating the two things I selected as they were dry and falling apart. I hughly doubt we will make the effort to go back.

Friendly staff, fresh baked goodies, and right prices! Glad they're still in business!

The donuts are always fresh. The coffee is very good. The customer service is always exceptional.
