This used to be an old bank, now converted to a coffee shop. The house brewed coffees were delicious - I would go back to try one of their specialty drinks in a heartbeat.

Here's the thing, they only ever staff one person, so the service is slow. They don't really care if you don't like them because they feel like that's just their business motto.
Their coffee is just okay, but there prices are really high. Also, they only have soy as a milk alternative so if you're lactose intolerant and you don't like soy I recommend driving an extra block to get the good stuff.
It's really busy, primarily because it's filled with the college study overflow. There's not many outlets so charge up your laptop in advance.
Overall, the coffee shop atmosphere is great. Unfortunately, the management doesn't try to please customers because they are busy enough that they think they don't have to.

Very small and crowded inside. Decent menu selection but the drink I had was okay but didn't really taste like what I expected it to taste like based on menu description. On the plus side they have a shelf of board games (including, oddly enough, a Ouija board...) and books. It was quiet, almost weirdly so. Good prices, it's close to John Ball Zoo.

With delicious coffee at modest prices you can expect to find a huge selection of various lattes, brews, tea, frapps, and more. I could go on and on about the huge selection! If nothing suits your fancy then simply ask to have your coffee made to order! Staff is super courteous and knows every little detail about any drink you could want. This place is a must visit if you're ever anywhere in Grand Rapids.

Coffee was delicious. Some college students studying, some people meeting for the first time. If you don't mind a little background noise it's the perfect place. It was really busy on a Sunday night. Pretty impressive. ( bathroom was not working-reason for 4stars)

If you like Starbucks, you will love this place :-) we definitely went in because of the name, it does not disappoint! Very quaint, great service, good people. Also, open 24 hours! Huge Plus! I am sorry I did not take pictures to show you the lovely decor and warmth that is this shop.

This is my absolute favorite coffee shop! It has a unique ambiance with satirical, local, and antique art. It also has a wide range of choices for beverages, and even some food items! The vegan muffins are the best muffins I have ever tasted, and the specialty espresso drinks are phenomenal. My advice to everyone would be to try The Spotted Owl!

The atmosphere is so wonderful; it's relaxing, quiet, cozy, and personal. You can truly escape here. The coffee is amazing, and I've yet to find a better chai tea latte. The man that's worked the night shift the past two days is so kind and personable, and by far my favorite barista I've encountered anywhere. I can't recommend this place enough.
