N'Orlins Beignets & Coffee

I was very excited to try this restaurant because I have had yet to travel to NO an try an authentic beignet. I will say I dont have anything to compare this place to so I will say the beignets were pretty tasty.. I recommend the princess sauce (lol)!
However, the gumbo was beyond disappointing.. There was barely any meat in it, and it had an overwhelming spice that instantly goes to work on the stomach.. I love spice, but this was just not it.
I do not drink coffee so no review on that here..

Drove from Lansing as my husband read they have gumbo. It wasn't quite done, could have cooked a bit longer. Everything else was great. They overdo the powdered sugar. Very small menu. Staff was more interested in having conversation than getting our order correct or even taking the order. Will try again next time we are in town.

Wonderful. Bought a dozen ate 6 in the nicely air conditioned room and had every intention to bring the other half dozen home. They were so fresh and delicious, we ate the entire order. We bought the large slushy, it ended up being too sweet with the Beignets, so next time I would probably get a coffee instead.

The beignets are absolutely amazing, so tasty...

Ordered 2 coffees, one decaf. The decaf was a K cup priced at $4, the regular lacked flavor. While we were waiting for our food the owner/manager was treating his worker poorly.

Thw gumbo was delicious. The beignets were really good too. Got a killer coupon from Bronners Christmas store so if you want some good gumbo and cheap get the coupon lol but its worth the money either way.

The beignets, coffee, hot apple cider, and gumbo were incredible!! It was my first time trying beignets and gumbo and I was blown away :) loved that the whole shop uses no peanuts or tree nuts, which was awesome for my allergies. The hot apple cider was just like drinking liquid apple pie. Soooo good

The frappe drinks are sooooooooooooo gross. Don’t even try them. The beignets were great. Customer service was great

I just loved the owner. I went in for a hot chocolate today and he complimented me and made me feel welcome. He gave me a sample of gumbo and a coupon for a free beignet. Best experience I’ve had in a long time. Thank you!

Stopped here today, first time getting food here. Let me tell you, the gumbo was AMAZING!! Terry was super friendly and polite. Will definitely be coming back for more gumbo!🤤🤤
