First time visit. I had my choices narrowed down to corn beef, pastrami, the Guido Grinder and the Philly Cheese Steak. Woman behind the counter said the pastrami was good. It was fabulous! Best I have had since 1978 in Cambridge MA!

None of the food wow'd and most of it disappointed. Counter/kitchen layout was terrible, felt like I was in the way of the cooks. Bread and customer service was good though

Tried this Deli for the 1st time on our way to Northern Michigan. Unbelievably quick service. Sandwich was delicious. Bread was wonderful.
Will be stopping again when we are in the area...for sure!

If you’re in Charlotte you must stop in! Sidestreets has the best sandwiches, desserts, bread, and antipasto. Everything is made fresh and is SO delicious. They also have a great seating area inside since their expansion, making it a quick and easy place to stop in for lunch or dinner.

Posting as a question for the owner. Is this the same Sidestreets Deli that was open in East Lansing while I attended college from 1998-2002? If so, I’m soooo glad to see you’re still doing it, WILL be visiting you again someday (soon) and absolutely stand by this 5* review. Your sandwiches were my lifeblood for 4 (ok, maybe 5) years!

The deli is small, but charmingly appointed and cozy, the employees are friendly and helpful, and the food really can't be beat. I think the prices are great, and for anyone who might complain, I can help put things in perspective. We got three sandwiches with side pickels, a slice of bread pudding, and two slices of cheesecake for $39, which is just $10 more than I spent on three "value" meals at Wendy's last week. The difference in the quality of food is definitely worth that.
