I grew up in the NYC area. This place is authentic. Cannoli is amazing, the only place with Mortadella, real Prociutto, and Capacola for miles around, and the owner treats hurts staff well.

Food is really good but expensive for what you get. Everytime I and others have been here staff is extremely rude and seem discombobulated. Today they were arguing with each other and seems stressed because there was a lot of other customers. When I noticed that they put something wrong in the bag they snatched it out rudely instead of being sorry or appreciative I've noticed their error.

Food is ok but there food is way over prized it say the miejer for gourmet cheese cake is better and it's only half the prize Stop being greedy

Absolutely the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Any sandwich with the cheese bread is a delight

Squisito! an authentic Italian deli in Charlotte, Michigan! How have I not heard of, or been to, this place before?!? After pastrami on rye, there is nothing like cannoli, and I mean real cannoli, made with ricotta cheese. If you are looking for an Italian deli, Sidestreets Deli can't be beat. It would require a drive to Detroit or Chicago for anything comparable.

Nice staff, Reuben was good but served on cold bread which was soggy due to the cold sauerkraut. But overall 4+ and will return!

You have to pay around 10 bucks for a sandwich and a can of pop but you get 10 bucks worth of food/taste. Just wish they had a more comfortable seating space but they did what they could within the small space they have.

Great little shop with amazing choices.

They have delicious homemade soups and a huge menu of all kinds of sandwiches, a great find in Charlotte! If they had also gluten free bread on hand it would be perfect.
