Food here is consistently great. What really makes it five stars is the service. The people are extremely kind and there is ample signage and greeting so that you aren’t just standing there lingering with social anxiety. The menu has great options but they are also flexible if you like to customize.

Many tasty options, including plenty for vegetarians. We enjoyed everything! Great coffee, too.

I am not as enamored with this place as most others. Servers and counter staff are polite, but dont appear overly enthused. Food is above average. The setting inside and out is very nice, however I am not a huge fan of the location (Merchant Square).

Wow! Stopped here today with my mom and it was DELICIOUS!!! I had a sandwich and she had a salad and they were full of fresh and tasty ingredients. Probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Love it!

Wife and I go to the Cape twice a year, and for years our practice was to leave our condo early on the last day, make a dash over the Sagamore bridge, and then stop for breakfast at Friendly's. Then Friendly's closed. So we discovered Cafe Chew and it has been our regular stop ever since. Love the hash browned potatoes and sourdough toast. Breakfast is very generous and gets us home without a stop for lunch. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. Love the pear-ginger jam (but you have to ask for it).

My partner and I are not from here, so as soon as we saw we were near Sandwich, MA, we knew we had to eat a sandwich in Sandwich. This place did NOT disappoint! This is an adorable place with a friendly, bright and fun atmosphere. There's seating in the front and back that make it accessible, especially during COVID times. They were incredibly quick and delicious! I am vegetarian, so finding places that have options for me can be difficult. I had a hard time choosing from the options I had at this place! Everything was fresh and worth every penny. I would highly recommend this place!

Great breakfast and friendly service! I ordered an omelette and the multigrain pancakes. The omelette was perfectly made and delicious. The pancakes were very good as well! If you are in the area this is a great place to stop!

The 7 layer bar!! The place has it down—terrific service, inviting layout and baked goods bar, and lots of seating, especially in the warmer months. Highly recommend and well worth the wait!

the place is bigger than it looks. the food was very tasty but the side of bacon was cold. the prices are comparable to the area. it’s definitely a place to check out.
