The food here is incredible! Stopped here with Daisy to get a breakfast sandwich after a post op eye exam. Highly recommend the Hippie wrap and the Italian. Chocolate chip cookies are so good, couldn't tell the difference between the gluten free and regular after we bought both. Then got the most awesome toasted cranberry almond bread, the jam it came with is out of this world delicious! Daisy said the coffee is one of the best she ever had. I had the hot apple cider with cinnamon and it's on my top 3 of all time hot apple cider list. Love the location. Staff is wonderful and so friendly. Also need to note the bathroom! Floor is sparkly black and excellent artwork adorns the walls. Very clean! Was like being in a mini art gallery in there. So glad we ventured here. Will be back! Hours later I'm still thinking about that jam! I left it accidentally at Daisy's house! We brought the leftovers with us as our eyes were bigger than our tummies and the food here is so good you don't want to toss it if you can't finish it. Well done, Cafe Chew! We're super impressed!

Cafe Chew has been a "go-to" preference for me since its inception.
Location * excellent * (walking distance from my childhood home)
Menu choices * excellent * (I am not a meat eater; I love creative breakfasts; I eat as much and as often as I possibly can when I am on Cape Cod; I believe I will squeeze in one more meal at Cafe Chew

Talk about "Eat Fresh"! The sandwich I had, the "Mother Hen" was like I made it at home. FRESH avacado, chicken, tomato, letuce, bacon on cibatta.....very impressive. Even Gordon Ramsey would be impressed.
A bit pricy but, WELL WORTH it.
Very nice waitresses, and cashier.
Nice location too. Neat gift shops.
We will certainly be returning to this establishment.

Unfortunately we weren't able to experience the food as the owner, Tobin Wirt, was so incredibly rude we chose to leave, The write up stating that "Tobin Wirt and Bob King are masters at making every guest feel like they've stepped into a friend's cafe house" proved to be very false in my experience with Tobin. This is a dog friendly "counter-serve nook" with outdoor seating. I am a recent residence of the Mashpee area and was going out for a nice breakfast with my two young adult daughters and my grand dogs. We had been assigned a table by the pleasant "hostess" as we waited in line to place our order. As we stood in line no one let us know that the dogs could not enter the wide open area to go to the counter and place our order. As my daughter got to the front of the line Tobin hollered at her that no dogs were allowed. Then when she questioned him on how to order with a dog, he stated "that's your problem!" I was at a separate register as we were ordering separately and was startled by the exchange. My other daughter took both dogs out as my youngest went up to order. Moments later she came out crying as he continued to be rude to her. We decided we did not need to dine in a place that would treat people so poorly. I went in to get a refund on the orders placed and he was in the middle of talking about us with another customer and an employee was walking up to get in on the conversation. Very unprofessional. This seemed like it would be a wonderful place for me to meet up with friends and to take family but now that will never be.

Best place to eat in Sandwich for breakfast and lunch. We find ourselves going there multiple times a week. Very reasonable prices for the quality and variety of food.

Fantastic service and food! Sandwiches are high quality meat and served with Cape Cod Chips. The cafe is super cute. Get there early if you want a table. It is always busy and the cafe is on the small side so in order to get a table plan ahead! Great for lunch!

Sandwiches were great! The staff is very friendly and although there was a line we moved right along. Sandwiches were created in a jiffy and we enjoyed them in an outdoor courtyard behind the restaurant

I have never been treated so rudely in my life. After standing in line, talking to employees, and looking for instructions on where our dogs were allowed and getting no instruction, we made the mistake of crossing the threshold of this open air cafe with our dogs. After stepping in, Toben, the owner of this place, very rudely yelled that the dogs were not allowed in the “dog friendly” establishment. We apologized profusely and immediately took them outside. If it had stopped here, we would have ordered our food and kept things amicable. But Toben continued to belittle and insult us to our face and to other customers the whole time we were there and as we left. He literally made my sister cry. After hearing him continue to talk about us behind our backs, we got our money back and left. I will never be coming here again and I advise anyone who wants to have a nice day to look elsewhere.
TLDR: entitled old white man made a polite young girl cry

What a friendly owner and staff. The pastry are to die for. Casual outdoor seating areas make it a nice stop on the way out the Cape.
