Kaldi’s Social House Silver Spring

Very cool vibe. The best meal I had the entire week that I was in the DC area, was here.

Great coffee and nice ambience. However, customer service and general friendliness of the staff has notably declined in recent years. Staff is young and not trained very well. No hellos, no "nice to see you again" even after coming in several times a week. The internet also NEVER works and the staff don't ever make any effort to fix it. I'd come more and spend more money if they cared, but my general perception is that they really don't.

Easily one of the best coffee houses I’ve been to, ever. The seating is plentiful and comfortable, the coffee is fantastic, and the staff are super friendly. I wish I lived closer because I’d be here every day.

Went there during a Sunday morning. The space is beautiful and open. Food was delicious and service was quick. The noise level picks up quickly as more customers arrive due to the industrial design of the location. The bathrooms were a bit untidy and neglected. However, my friends and I were able to stay for a few hours without feeling rushed. Overall, a good experience.

Service was pretty slow, so I would make sure you have plenty of time during brunch if you come here to eat. But it was nice and relaxed and we didn't feel rushed to leave.

One of my favorite places in Silver Spring, great place to eat, drink, work, and relax. The chicken and waffels are the best!

They make really good coffees and pastries. I personally prefer their blood orange ice tea, see picture. Their service is hit or miss if it’s a busy day it can take a while as the line can be long. If the line isn’t too long it’s pretty fast.

I’m changing my review to three stars, they’ve fell off in a MAJOR way. The hash browns were just stale, the pick up they messed up and while I get mistakes happen. Stuff like that is worthy of some sort of a comp, as someone who has ran/owned a business I’d offer a comp if I screwed up an order. In addition to that the portions are ridiculously small. Perhaps the takeout service sucks, I had a bad previous delivery as well.

Abs love kaldi’s! It’s my go to spot for days I need to telework. They have various seating areas and is always crowded throughout the day. If you’re there in the morning I’d recommend ordering the chicken Florentine waffles. Their caprese avo toast is excellent as well!

Do your neighborhood small business a favor and don’t spend your entire day there and only order a cup of coffee! Order some food so small businesses like this could continue stay open.

I had to come back and add on to my previous comment. I recently went to Starbucks after a long time and did not realize how awful their coffee is! Guess I’ve gotten spoiled by the coffee at Kaldi’s.
