This place has some of the best coffee I’ve had in a long time, smooth, no bitterness. The chocolate mocha was the best my mom had ever had, we’ll definitely be returning. The baked goods are also top notch. The atmosphere is cozy and the renovations they’ve made are beautiful. This is a new favorite little spot! The latte art is beautiful (excuse the part I drank out of, I just couldn’t wait!)

Coffee is xcellent (had the 76?). Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable
Coffee cake was good.
Ordered eggs and sourdough was a lot of food and good quality.
Will definitely come back and sit up top, to cold when I was here.
Prices good, parking limited

Kaldis's is great. I don't drink much coffee so I can't comment on their coffee but I do enjoy their selection of teas. Mango black tea is my favorite. It's one of my go to study spots. It's usually pretty busy, but great atmosphere. Its especially nice when the weather is nice and they open the sliding glass to open up the space. They've recently renovated the place and have added a ton of comfortable seating. Finding an open seat shouldn't be an issue. Also you have to try their coffee cake or cheese cake, both are excellent!
Edit: They've added some new breakfast and lunch items. The Big Fat Daddy was really good, and big enough you could probably split it between two people.

PRICE GOUGING & NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!
Visited on Saturday 09/03/2022.
First I was charged $39 for 2 gin and tonics served in those small, cheap, low quality plastic cups that you find in bathrooms for brushing teeth. Secondly, they had no lime available at all. Literally a full bar with no lime. It’s $1000 minimum to seat on the cushioned chairs and $600 for the regular ones so we chose to stand at one of the free standing cabs. Once our party showed up, we thought it would be more economical to order a bottle of gin and tonic and mix it ourselves. I was quoted $300 by one bartender while my friend was quoted $250 by another. We purchased from her guy and were then informed that due to a county ordinance, bottle drinks cannot be served in bottles so they poured it in a pitcher (plastic). As luck would have it, the pitcher had a slow leak so the whole drink just leaked in the ice!
Skip it and go spend your money elsewhere. There are plenty of nice, walkable places in Silver Spring that value your business and have working air conditioning.

Good coffee, decent prices. Great service. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Wish I had tried the food, it smelled delicious.

The food is good but the wait for the coffee is long we finished the meal and the drinks still did not arrive

Kaldis is amazing in so many ways - I have been going there for years. Big drawback is that it's consistently understaffed amd the waiting times are long - 20 minutes for a coffee when the shop isnt even full. The staff are so nice but they need help. Scrimping on staff in such a busy place makes no sense

This was my 2nd time going there and I wanted to just get a nice cup of chai and do some homework, but nope I couldn't do that cause their wifi didn't work. It connected but no network. But the vibe was there I was comfortable listening to my chill music and did some work with my hotspot on, but didn't stay too long. Hopefully they fix the wifi soon.

Really large open bar set up with lounge seating threw us off, as we were looking for a restaurant. Got a London Fog tea (hot, milk+Harney&Son's Earl Grey), rice bowl and chicken& waffles. All were awesomely tasty/scumptuous! Place really filled up shortly after 9AM on a SAT. Free weekend parking at the nearby Fenton garage. Scrambled eggs with the chicken & waffles was really savory and creamy/buttery! rice bowl eggs we're medium side up, perfect for the dish, not too runny. A lot of different textures in this rice bowl: crispy brisket, medium dense narrow rice, tangy plump tomatoes, silky soft greens/chimichurri). Silver Spring's eats has come a long way since we moved away 7 yrs ago!

The very veggie sandwich was so flavorful and the aïoli was very good. Good choice for a healthier breakfast.
