Kaldi’s Social House Silver Spring

I love Kaldi's! The food and drinks are always top notch, service is pleasant, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Pictured here is their seasonal French toast with bourbon glazed pepitas and pumpkin cream filling.

They have real good food here & great customer service. The upstairs bar (club) at night is the place to be in silver spring

This restaurant is by far my favorite spot to bring my friends for brunch and coffee! The ambience is great with nice lounge seating. I had a Blackened Shrimp Bowl, and it’s as good as it looks.

Pretty good food and enjoyable atmosphere. The cafe has a very lax attitude, order your food, find a spot to sit, whether it’s a couch, a table, or at the bar. The waiters bring your order out when it’s ready. I grabbed brunch here during the day, and liked the sandwich and waffles we ordered. The sandwiches (we got the turkey avocado club) left my taste buds wanting a little more, but were good nonetheless. The cashier lady wasn’t to enthusiastic about recommending food, and was unable to serve us a virgin bloody marry. If I’m in the area, I will probably go back and check them out again.

Delicious! Really cute spot for brunch. I had the lemon ricotta French toast with a side of potatoes and it was excellent. FYI they do not have sodas, and only orange juice for juices. Food arrived quickly and we were able to get a table right away and stay as long as we wanted. Staff was all extremely pleasant and restaurant was very clean. I found street parking nearby (2 hour metered spaces but free on the weekends).

Love Kaldi's atmosphere! A great meet-up spot to connect with a friend. I ordered the cappuccino and chocolate croissant and thoroughly enjoyed both. Employees have always been friendly.

This is one of the best coffee shops I’ve been to. Food is delicious and the systems in place are efficient.

I really like the atmosphere at this cafe! But the only thing that out matches that is the food! I ordered a turkey sammie while the person I was with order the sliders. Each was delicious in it own right and my latte was also the bomb! Hope to come back soon!

Omg it is so delish. I ordered the fat daddy if you love cheese did u would love this dish. My daughter got the chicken and waffles she loved it very tasty. My husband had the salmon sandwich it was very well put together it was all great. Coffee is amazing!

In general, I really love the food and coffee here. I previously liked to work here because it's better than most of the other coffee shops in DTSS.
But, there are some issues that really grate on the customer. Their hours are inconsistent and I've been here numerous times when I've been approached by an employee to let me know to pack up my laptop because they're closing 30 minutes or an hour early today. If I come to work and order multiple drinks during my time here, I would like to enjoy them. Hours should be posted clearly if they intend to close early for any reason.

Another issue I've experienced on a few occasions is their closing practice. I was here with a friend and we were finishing our coffees 20 minutes before closing. We knew they were closing, it had been announced, servers were collecting our dishes and providing to-go cups for the remainder of our drinks. They essentially ran us out of the establishment 20 minutes before closing (in the early afternoon) by turning out the lights. I abandoned by unfinished drink and left insulted. We were not intending to stay past closing by any means but 20 minutes is a long time away from when they want to lock the doors.

Closing should mean the end of service and clearing the floor, not the shut down and cleanup of everything by 3pm. If you can't serve a customer a to-go coffee 10 minutes before close, you have already closed.
