FD Book Cafe

Beautiful environment. Great food presentation, BUT waffle extremely dry. So dry I had to drink water with each bite just to make it go down. No amount of whipped cream or syrup could help. Wouldn't order it again.

The fro yougurt is absolutely da best in the States!! Passion fruit is my all time favorite and every one should have a try!!

After passing through the Kentlands area I remembered a saved food area in my likes or wanted to visit section so I decided to give this place a try.

When I initially arrived it was 40 minutes before they actually opened.
I decided to take a nap in the nearby parking lot and waited till they opened.

I ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant and was impressed by the size, flavor and proportion.

Since I always love waffles or pancakes I ordered the chocolate marshmallow waffle it was delicious.

I traditionally get a hazelnut latte or mocha or sometimes a caramel macchiato.
I was deciding on the banana latte or the blueberry.

They informed me that the blueberry was a new favorite plus I wanted to try something different. It was very good.

Charming little coffee shop. Emphasis on little! For a first visit i wanted to start with the basics so i ordered an Americano coffee and a "plain" waffle which is served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
Both were excellent. The coffee was bold, complex, and a little rough. The waffle was tender with a sweet hint of vanilla in each bite.
Seating is limited but they do have some outdoor tables as well as what's inside.
I was a little confused by the place's name. It's not a bookstore. Yes, there are books tucked away under the counter but they arent obvious when you first go in.
Im looking forward to going back and trying other things on the menu.

A cafe looking for itself post pandemic. The mocha had a gritty, powder based texture. Book selection wasn't curated and stacked in no clear order. Seems to be trying out frozen rice bowls for pick up or at cafe rice bowls.

Love the environment, friendly owner and great customer service. Must have the newly introduced mixed cup frozen yogurt and ice tea~ the best in the area.

This cafe is super comfortable. Very beautiful. The books are not for sale but you can exchange yours for one of theirs. The owner is very nice and she cooked our food really well. You will like this place.

Such a cute and cozy cafe in Gaithersburg! Would definitely come back here again.

I like this place. The thick-cut yogurt here is very delicious. The boss is a very nice person.
