They don’t wash their hands AT ALL nor use gloves. The older guy at the register with the curly hair takes cash with his bare hands, then turns around and plates muffins with the same bare hands.
I’ve seen the short lady with short hair wipe her nose several times then spread butter on guest toast. That is utterly DISGUSTING!!!!
As I’m watching everything he hands me my food. I said “you guys don’t wash your hands?” he replies do you expect the girls to wash their hands between each thing? They just do the toast.
This food is going straight in the trash. Then you wonder why you have COVID and Monekypox.

Best breakfast place ever. Even their bread and butter are so good!
Unfortunately there was a bit of a wait but still 5 stars all the way

Bit of a confusing and frustrating experience. Place was a little busy, but there were a few open tables. All three of the servers kept intentionally ignoring my wife and I for about 10 minutes (literally walking past us multiple times, giving us glances but not ever returning smiles or even saying "we'll be with you in a few minutes"). We finally seated ourselves after another couple walked in and was greeted immediately and offered a table. There were two additional, subsequent groups of people that were greeted enthusiastically and seated, as well as given menus and silverware. We waited an additional 10 minutes at a dirty table, without ever being handed menus or even being greeted/directly acknowledged.
If the staff was simply busy, I'd understand. That's no problem. But greeting, seating, and serving three groups of people after we walked in, while simultaneously ignoring us, is something I've never experienced at a restaurant anywhere in the country. Truly 1 star service and truly disappointing.
On the other hand, we went to a different cafe just over a mile down the road, and had a much better experience: they were just as busy as Martha's, but we were greeted with a smile and seated within sixty seconds. Food and service was great, and the cafe was everything we were hoping Martha's Diner would have been.

The warm greeting from Martha or Pete when you walk through the door is a good start to a great experience. The waffle special is my favorite! Strawberries and whipped cream piled on top of a light fluffy waffle! The staff are all friendly and take very good care of you. Highly recommend this place it's a great example of a warm family diner! 5 thumbs up!

Came to this Diner after being on the road for ten straight hours. Mine you it was just an omelette and taters and coffee but hit the spot. Got here two minutes before closing but they served me anyway. My waitress who name I didn't catch was warm and friendly. This is diner hidden away in a strip mall, but has all the trappings of being a true 50's diner. All it needs is the building, as you can see the owner "Martha" in True New England Slang, is a "Lucy " and "Elvis" fan. They've been here fifteen years, cause she prefers better weather. She came up in diners working with her sister and family who still owns one to this day. While sitting there eating my late breakfast and listening to Jose' Feliciano Singing "C'mon Baby Light My Fire" and the staff cutting up with each other, I couldn't feel more at home.

The diner has a waiting line so you don't know how long the actual wait is unless you ask the people in line.
Food was good. Our waitress was rude. When asked if we wanted homemade toast I said no and my husband saw her roll her eyes. Ended up ordering homemade $1.40 and got store bread. Don't mind paying if I'm receiving. Overall it was the service not the quality of the food that was lacking.

Great local dinner that serves the large hot breakfasts that you expect when you're visiting Downeast Maine. The Brewer omelet stuffed w/ their homemade hash, smothered with cheese, endless cup of coffee & a grilled corn muffin. Service as best & friendly as they come.
If you come through or live in the area, Martha's is a stop that won't disappoint.

They were understaffed but were churning. Short wait, speedy service and delicious crab eggs Benedict.

Really good food! I'd eat that corn beef hash and those blueberry and banana pancakes anytime. Service was friendly too. But the kitchen was really slow. Do not go here of you're hoping for a quick breakfast. Do go here if you have time and want some delicious food.
