This diner's fun decor and music give it a feel of days gone by. The food isn't anything fancy, but it's solid, classic comfort food. I visited the diner the morning before a hike in Acadia, and I asked the waitress if there was any chance we could get some packed lunches to go. I made things especially difficult, saying that we were looking for nonperishable stuff (e.g., no lunch meat). To my delight, she and the kitchen staff were able to accommodate me. They even threw in some complimentary bags of chips, which I hadn't ordered. Thanks, Martha! The next time I'm in Ellsworth, I'll visit you again. :)

Great food! Due to staff shortages they are only open Wed thru Sun, and only serving breakfast. One of our favorite places to eat when we are in the area.

Wow! Best Hash Benedict I've ever had. When we went it was extremely busy but still were seated and got food quickly. Everything else the group ordered looked great as well, but that hash was something else.

Hands down the BEST food in Ellsworth! The steak and egg breakfast was good even after ordering it to go (for lunch) :) service was so friendly, even though they were SLAMMED! Excellent job! Keep it up!

About 2 months ago, I ordered a chicken club. The waitress gave me a chicken sandwich about half inch thick with nothing on it. She came back to check on me and so I told her. I said, since she got my order wrong and she had to come back anyways, I'd like the crab roll instead. I only noticed it on the black board after I ordered the first time. It wasn't on the menu. So, I told her I'd like that instead. She just stared at me. So, I said the Chicken Club will be just fine. She came back with the crab roll then the cook came out, looked at me, shook his head then went back into his kitchen. When I went to pay, I had just enough cash, cause they don't take credit cards.

Went there once when I was new in town, locals love it but maybe since I'm from a large city I wasn't impressed at all. We waited too long and they screwed up the order. Maybe the service is better if they know uou...who knows. I just know I won't be going back. My kids did love the pancakes though... btw...dont even attempt to use the restroom...ive seen truck stops in Phoenix cleaner and that smelled better

Amazing as always! Super friendly, fast service and home cooked style dishes. I love the small town feel and the fact they only accept cash or local checks!

This is a great little cafe. The service and food is first rate. The prices are good. The decor, especially the I love Lucy stuff, is fun. Highly recommended! A lot of good local flavor.

Cute nostalgic type of place. Had your typical diner atmosphere and menu. They were super busy and short staffed, bit the waitress waa on top of everything.

Great breakfast joint i had a lamoine omlette with onions peppers tomatoes mushrooms and cheese. I added ham. My daughter had the tune to which is two pancakes with chocolate chips and 3/2 slices of French toast she said both were excellent. The home fries were great. Toast was a homemade white bread very good
