This place is really nice. Very nice and well curated interior set up. Good drink and coffee selections. Delightful pastries and sandwiches. They do events here during the month too. The other night was comedy night. It was a great night and the comics were very worth seeing. Admittedly I was one of them so I might be biased.

I use to love this coffee shop- located right on lovely downtown Maine St. Paul the original owner ran a tight ship. The food and coffee drinks were fabulous and the environment was welcoming. The Paul sold the place and the second owner renovated the interior and gave Mark the chef more latitude to create menu items which were fabulous. Then the a little Dog was sold again- staff changes ensued and the service, quality of food and drinks and welcoming atmosphere went out the window. The result: random closing times, unhappy employees, food that is hit or miss (and lately more often a miss) and coffee that is frequently less than fresh. There are other coffee shops in town that provide excellent service, fantastic menu items and business hours that don’t change with the wind direction. Our local beloved Little Dog coffee house is nothing but a memory now. It is time to put the Little Dog out of it’s misery.

So I loved the location, atmosphere, service and coffee but the bagels,meh..and the croissants were under cooked. I'd definitely go there again and give them another try. But I may just enjoy the Joe,

nice, but very understaffed. frequent closures due to members being fired and no new members being hired on. lack of consistency due to employees appearing burnt out, despite their good attitudes. some features of the cafe (like bottled drinks) have been phased out for some reason. please listen to your staff, i don’t patronize businesses that don’t treat their employees like equals, especially at the union bargaining table.

Genuinely really like this place but they’re consistently randomly closed. And they also close super early (1pm) maybe scratch the world “lunch” off the door?

Three times now I’ve driven up from Yarmouth to find they’re closed. And each time the reason is different. I’m just frustrated with the lack of consistency or reliability.

If you manage to get in everything is pretty delicious but… good luck

If I could give no stars I would. I came into this coffee shop this morning. When I walked in the door it was a busy place. At first I didnt know where the line started because there was no signs detailing where you ordered or paid or any of that. After 2 people behind me got in front of me because I was standing in the wrong place I was let back into line by those nice two customers. After ordering a simple latte and a breakfast sandwich I waited. Both customers behind me got their orders and were out the door before i got anything from my order. the person working the register seemed to know both people by first name basis. By the time my breakfast sandwich was ready I’d waited 7-10 minutes. After another 7-10 minutes of standing there waiting my latte was finished. The girl working apologized for my near 20 minute wait for my order but by then my coffee and my breakfast sandwich were cold and quite honestly disgusting. I will never come back here and if I know anyone who ever thinks of coming here I will strongly recommend reconsideration. For such a popular place I dont see how anyone could put up with the horrifying service this establishment provides.

Little Dog is a coffee shop on Maine Street in Brunswick. The interior is welcoming. They have recently updated their pastry offerings but their coffee selection remains limited and does not change much beyond the 5 varieties offered. Overall a pleasant place to visit and spend some time.

Recently I visited and purchased a piece of Blueberry Coffee Cake which I delivered to my wife at work. She texted me back wondering where I had gotten it because it was so dry and stale that she threw it out. I told the counter staff about her experience and was met with an unenthusiastic “Uhhh…thanks?” When I suggested that they may want to remove the stale coffee cake the reply was “Thanks for letting us know”. I did not ask for nor was offered a refund for the bad pastry. As I was readying myself to leave about 45 minutes later I noticed that the same coffee cake was still being offered for sale.

Before leaving I used the restroom. No issues there. Lots of pictures of customers’ dogs on the walls. Cute.

Now for the bad part which prompted my review. When I walked out of the toilet are I saw the rack of food right by the bathroom area exit. Food accessible directly to the public exiting the toilets….uncovered, no barriers, no refrigeration….yikes! Basic food safety issue here. One bin of uncovered cookies marked with a date 10 days old. Hmmm…stale cookies anyone? Cooked food products uncovered and near the floor where staff and public walk by.

Yum?…Yechhh! Please do better Little Dog.

Extremely disappointed with the prices and quality of food/coffee of this establishment. I paid $14 for this "BLT" that has less than one full piece of barely cooked bacon (see photo), and then was charged an additional $.75 to put one tablespoon of oat milk in my burnt tasting coffee. The charge to have non-dairy milk should only apply to when you put it in an espresso beverage (ie- having 12 OUNCES of oat milk in a latte vs ONE TABLESPOON in a regular cup of coffee). Really unfortunate for being the only local coffee shop around, and the only spot for sandwiches while Big Top Deli is closed (who charges $6.75 for a BLT hooked the f up with bacon). I am not one to give bad reviews (this might even be my first), I only hope this warns potential customers or gives incentive to this business to make their product worth the money they charge.

A very popular coffee shop. The pastries are very good. I had a croissant that was crusty and flaky on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside.

I stood in line, ordered my food with no tomato. Was told i couldn’t omit the tomato so i told him I didn’t want it with tomato. I asked for a plain bagel with cream cheese and i was told to get back in the line, which was ridiculous. They were out of house bread. Out of so many items. Dont bother going there not woth it.
