The coffee was "meh," the breakfast sandwich was kinda pathetic: a hockey puck of egg slapped between two slices of half-toasted, lukewarm bread. The prices didn't really reflect the lack of quality.

The staff seemed apathetic at best. At exactly 3 o'clock, a staff member went to the front of the store and yelled, “We are now closed. I'm locking the front door. Please exit in the rear." My friend and I were the only two people left in the shop. Like just treat us like people and talk to us, not yell at us.

I have been here twice and both times were pretty disappointing. I have been sort of confused as the products and service leave a lot to be desired, but the coffee shop is usually full and rated 4.4 stars. All this leads me to believe that Little Dog Coffee Shop's success must come from its lack of competition rather than its products or service.

Probably won't be going here again.

There has been a dramatic reconstruction, which is lovely in appearance, but this new animal should now be called Little Rich Dog cafe. I’ve been coming here on & off for years when visiting family. Tragically, it now seems evident that the reign of gentrified hipsterdom has stretched well past Portland and into Brunswick.
You will not be able to obtain a normal iced coffee here anymore. At all. What you can get (and the only thing you can get if you want plain iced coffee: is a 6-buck cold brew. . For a small. And you can drink it either inside, in an ongoing pandemic, or take it to your car, but you will no longer be able to drink it under umbrellas on the sidewalk because those are now gone even on a scorching day. Not quite sure what the 5 or more employees behind the counter were doing the day I was there besides informing me that cold brew (and concurrent obscene pricing) is the new normal, but the only shade you’ll get is if you ask why. Lastly, guys, skip the giant "recommended masking" sign on the door if precisely zero percent of your staff observe it.

Bought the breakfast sandwich on sour dough bread (not bagel) watch them dump a large bin of frozen egg "patties" of which [one] was topped with bacon( pre-cooked )then microwaved! After a considerable wait they failed to call my name, by the time I opened the aluminum foil wrapped 🥪 they failed to thaw the egg patty! BTW Little Dog does not offer REAL honey or raw sugar!
2 coffees and sandwich $16.00
Complete RIP OFF!

They have an actual wheelchair accessible bathroom which is AWESOME. Many places advertise as "handicap" but people who use wheelchairs struggle with doors opening in the wrong direction, not enough room to close the door, etc. But this place is spacious and open not only in the dining area, but bathroom and ordering areas as well. Thank you!

The bfast sandwich was outstanding. The coffee was great. Cute outdoor seating. The staff were doing a great job trying to keep all covid protocols/precautions in a very small quaint shop. Super convenient location to the highway. Will definitely be back!

It was horrible, went there for a breakfast sandwich for my birthday it was the worst breakfast sandwich I have ever got. I bought 3 one for my fiance, one for my 8 year old and myself and none of us eat them so it was a waste of 15.00 dollars and on top of it my fiance had a terrible accident and no income for the year. Monday is really tight and I treated myself because it was my birthday it was horrible. I won't be going back..Ty unless the owner makes it right and they haven't..

The Little Dog is great! Very good place to sit and use the laptop or just read the paper and have coffee and a bagel. They serve Coffee By Design which is an excellent local roaster. Recently they underwent a renovation and though the service area is definitely improved I miss the couch and chairs. It's still a great spot in Brunswick. Highly recommend.

UPDATE: Maybe I missed them last time I was in but I went into The Dog recently and the couch and chairs had returned! Yay! Excellent Coffee shop.

Can't support any business that takes retaliatory action against workers trying to organize. Also I find their chai is quite bland.

First time visit today. Had a slice of the Southwest quiche. It was delicious and a very good sized portion. I would have given it 5 stars but we had to send it back once to warm it all the way through. Otherwise everything was good! I will visit again.

The cafe is incredibly pretentious, and would not get any business if there were more local coffee options. The food is decent, but not worth what you pay. The staff have been incredibly rude every time I've gone in over the course of ten years, save for one time a staff was actually friendly, and I remember because I was so surprised. Like others have said, you will wait a weirdly long time for your coffee, food, or other drinks, while there is almost no one else there, and watch the staff stand there instead of starting an order. The owner responding defensively (and one rudely) to several of the poor reviews on here is probably where the staff inherit their lack of customer service skills. Go to Wild Oats or Bohemian instead.
