This was my first visit to Abita Roasting Co. in Covington. I was very pleased with the service we received from beginning to end. The hostess was very polite & informative about our wait time for a table. Our server was incredible (Blake)! Also, our food came out quickly. We probably waited 10 minutes for it to get to the table after we had ordered (maybe 15 minutes...maybe). My only complaint is the prices. We paid a total of $50 for 2 people to eat at lunch time (including the server's tip). For me, that's a little pricey. Overall though, we had a great visit to this restaurant! It was a very pleasant experience! I will definitely go back again & I will also highly recommend this place to others! Keep up the amazing work Abita Roasting Co.!

Wow!! This place is great. The people are super friendly and attentive…..and THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!!!! Hands down the best biscuit I’ve ever eaten, and I have eaten my fair share of biscuits. Their breakfast sausage was unique and delicious, as well as the cornbread cake and everything else we ate! Literally am dying to go back until we’ve tried everything on the menu.

Visited once and the city power went out... they comped our drinks, and I have been meaning to get back there... still haven't made it. But... did manage to order a firecracker burger which really hit the spot. The seasoned fries were a great touch... but I could hardly finish it all... honestly don't think I ate again that day. Great food here!

I will say I did read most of the reviews after going here. I will agree most of the reviews are accurate as far as wait staff and times.
The food is definitely not bad. As some of the reviews claimed. It's definitely not a 1 star place TRUST ME I've been to one star places before.
If you're a coffee fanatic this is probably more of a place for you. For a casual bite and roast
Parking is limited so on a busy day it may be best just to park at anytime and walk up. The location gives a nice outdoorsy feel on nicer days plus there's bean bag toss and places for kids to play.... Not to mention a short walk from downtown Covington or the Park.
The foods okay... Only issue I had was inattentive waitress ( I give them a pass it was about an hour and 20 before close) I ordered Mac n chz with my panini. Order came out with fries ( the ticket also had fries on it which means incorrectly put in order) I eventually got it almost right at close after asking about it 3x. It also took about 10 min to get water bc i was deciding which coffee drink to try.
The black velvet coffee is pretty good buy has an unnecessary ice to liquid proportion

I grew up in the area, but this was my first visit to Abita Roasting Co. It was an okay experience, but I don’t think I would come back. The parking situation is frustrating to start, although understandable because they were definitely busy when we arrived. We were still seated almost immediately, and they gave the older children a fun activity. However, they did not have any high chairs available for the smallest children with us. The mothers had to hold them until some of the limited stock came available. Our server rushed us to order, coming back to the table 6 or 7 times in about 5 minutes. We kept asking for some time to look over the giant menu, but she was very pushy and not very friendly. This made it all the more annoying when our food took over an hour to come out, even after most the of the other tables had cleared out. The food was good overall though! Unfortunately, I misread the menu while I was rushed and missed that the shrimp and grits had bacon. I don’t eat meat so it was frustrating, but I ate around it. Everyone else enjoyed their food, and the cocktails were tasty! A fork was knocked onto the floor by a child, and a busboy walking by picked it up and handed it back to the kid (who promptly put it in her mouth before we could get it away from her) so maybe more training is in order. Our server checked back once our food came and then once again to drop off the check. I never did get a refill on my water after asking twice. Overall, not terrible but left frustrated and feeling like we should have gone elsewhere for a late lunch.

I got the cinnamon French toast crunch with a vanilla bean iced coffee, and both were very good and unique in their own way. Abita is an LA based company, so that holds a lot of weight for me when it comes to choosing a place to eat while out of town. They have multiple locations if this spot isn't convenient for you. Definitely worth a try while in the area.

Even when they were short staffed, they were on point. The food is A+. I HIGHLY recommend the crawfish bisque when they have it (it was the special this morning). The green tomato sardou and eggs Acadian were outstanding also!

Pretty good place. Lots of menu options. Lots of coffee. Food was great. Sitting area outside for people with dogs.

These restaurants always serve top-notch food, and their exceptional service adds a pinch of special flavor. You know, Heather, the assistant manager, totally steals the show. And oh, the coffee here? It's the secret ingredient to my gym routine. 😉
