I come to Social Coffee a few times a week and it’s become an integral part of my routine. No matter who is working I always feels so incredibly comfortable and welcomed and when it comes to interactions with a business, those interactions are typically few and far between.
I can truly say the espresso here is always top-notch and their wide variety of guest roasters makes for a unique and enjoyable beverage every time. From their espresso-based drinks to their teas, I have yet to be disappointed by their selection. Their brunch is also to die for and it’s very rare I miss out on my Saturdays at Social.
I cannot recommend this shop enough but it encompasses everything Coffee should be–an experience genuine connection and a unifying force.
Nice newish cafe on North STREET @ 3rd Street. I emphasize "street" because there is a North Boulevard downtown as well. Go to North STREET.
It's a small shop but these folks really like their coffee. The owner and staff are personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have a small assortment of baked items from another local business, which I appreciate.
Today they happened to have a professional coffee taster in to help the staff grow their knowledge of coffee and how to talk about coffee, its taste, and other aspects of the bean. That's a very good thing.
Drop by to enjoy a good cuppa joe and a tasty local baked item. You won't regret it!
UPDATE 2022 SEPT: They are creating seasonal drinks. I hope to get in one the end of summer macha creation tomorrow.
My friends and I are pretty intense and knowledgeable coffee drinkers (we are all baristas) and we were so excited to try this place because it looked like it had great reviews. However, all of our drinks were nearly undrinkable. From previous experience, I think the oat milk is a brand that tastes bad so maybe if that was fixed it would be better. The dirty chai my friend had was really awful. I don’t think it takes any experience to figure out that this place’s drinks are mediocre at best. Lastly, the countertops behind the bar had a lot of clutter on it including a bottle of ibuprofen.
Dylan and Savannah are amazing folks AND their coffee is equally amazing! Best pour over I've had in Louisiana and my wife said the same for her latte. Food is creative and delicious. I'll be a regular here for sure.
HANDS DOWN Best coffee shop in Baton Rouge! Incredible coffee by Onyx Coffee and yummy pastries by Counterspace. The owner Dillon and the other staff members are always so welcoming and friendly, thanks for bringing a smile to my face everyday. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for coffee!

The Mocha and Americano were spot on, and the Savory breakfast was layered with flavor! Great vibe and friendly staff as well.

Love this great coffee spot downtown! Also love that the owner is there super early when I stop in before work, and the coffee is always so good.

What a relief to have a cup of proper specialty coffee with crema and served at right temperature.
