This is the best bagel shop in Lexington. I got an everything bagel at 9 am (they open at 7). The bagel was a little bready and dry but otherwise baked perfectly. The seasoning was balanced and not burnt. Flavor was 9/10, malty and earthy but still neutral enough to not conflict with the seasoning. I would have liked it to be more fresh and moist, but overall I'm pleased.

It was a nice bagel shop. Popular, had a steady stream of customers, it seemed many were local.
Impressed that they get local organic flour - read their table talkers. They also have locally made maple syrup for sale.
I had the BMB lunch bagel (breakfast and lunch menus available during open hours) it was moderately spicy and the flavor was very enjoyable.
I would like to come back at some point.

Love the bagels, always a bit pricey but I go there as a treat occasionally. I was surprised when I looked at my receipt and saw a 5% "employee health and wellness" charge added to the order. I always tip on my meals and am happy to support the staff, but thought others should know since I didn't see any notice before completing my order.

They have some amazing bagels but you should probably arrive early in the morning if you want fresh bagels and a larger selection. The presentation of the store is great. Lots of seating and a hot spot for college life. Prices have skyrocketed though which is unfortunate.

Fantastic service! I tried to place a delivery order online and had a couple of problems. I ended up calling twice to fix my order. Kristen (the manager) ended up fixing everything and took my debit card off the order.
Highly recommend. Great customer service.

Quick service, we got half a dozen bagels that were sliced cleanly and sweet bagels were nicely separated from the rest with individual wrapping.
The bagels themselves were all more like bread than a true bagel. Southland bagel's bagels are chewier and were overall better to me but this is personal preference.
Wouldn't mind coming back here again.

My fiancé and I came here for breakfast Saturday before the UK vs. TN game. I love bagels, but I was surprised at how under-impressed I was with this place. I got a bagel (NYC Style) and a small latte. My fiancé got a French toast bagel with honey butter and a sweet tea. Our total was $29 without tip. I thought it was expensive, because even Starbucks (which is super expensive) has bagels with cream cheese cheaper. I looked at the receipt only to notice there was a 5% employee health and wellness charge. We had tipped 25% but wouldn’t have if we had known there was an additional 5% on top of that. They really should notify customers before applying a 5% charge.

I tried this place for the first time and it was pretty good! They have a nice selection of bagel flavors, but when we got there around 1:30 they were already out of a lot of the more specialty kinds. The sandwiches were decently priced and I enjoyed my healthy bagel sandwich, but the orange juice was crazy expensive ($10 for a large????) even if it was fresh squeezed.

Disappointed. They are conveniently located to campus which is nice, especially because I despise Starbucks. But thought I'd stop in on my break once to get a coffee. It was right around their closing around 1-1:30ish and the place was pretty empty. I literally wanted a large black coffee but because it was the end of the day, they were at the last of what they had leftover from the morning. The dregs she gave me didn't even fill up the cup and the coffee was cold. Then, to boot, I was still charged $5 (plus I threw her a tip not realizing any of this until after I left the store). By no means would I want the store to make a new pot of coffee for just me. I have worked in a bakery before, I know the pain. All she had to do was communicate that with me before I finalized my purchase. I'm easy going, I would have just told her to scratch the order.
