Possibly the best bakery in the state. The food and coffee are great as well. If you want bread options, get there early before they run out.

Always the best. Great atmosphere. Great people and staff. Amazing baker goods and amazing fresh food. Made with love. Have been going there when in college (lots of amazing memories) and now after many years every time we go back it is the same perfect experience over and over again.

The best bakery in Kansas! You can find many different varieties of loaves, but the best one is "French Country" and "Rustic Italian." They have a nice indoor seating area for breakfast and lunch. The sandwiches are tasty and straightforward mainly because of the bread, but they need to develop. Also, the focaccia is fantastic! The desserts are good too (except Tiramisu). Definitely recommend the place without hesitating. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

My sister had me stop and grab lunch to go on my way thru Lawrence. Everything we bought was excellent. I had a turkey & mushroom empanada, loved it. My sister got a #11 sandwich (turkey, Swiss and apple), it was great. Both loaves of bread were awesome. Looking forward to trying the pastries for dessert tonight.

While the food/cafe is always wonderful, the real diamond of this place is buying bread by the loaf for creations at home. Sourdough batard, French style baguettes, and Italian ciabatta rolls are exquisite and make the best sandwiches.

They offer a wide variety of freshly baked loaves and rolls.
