Stomping Grounds Cafe

I have never had a bad experience here. Anything that has ever happened has been immediately corrected (such as bringing the wrong order). I love their cafe mochas as they aren't too sweet to overpower the espresso. The crepes and the bread bowl are two of my favorites to order. Sitting on the patio in the summer is a must.

Stomping Grounds has a laid back vibe and there's almost always seating. Drinks are a little more expensive than other cafes, but the coffee is good and the space is worth it. It's one of the more hip spots in Ames.

Excellent fresh and quality foods. Crepes are terrific and various flavors of seasonal ingredients are often a delight! Exceptional Americanos, Cold brews, and a fabulous tea selection.

Great place for everything from brunch to late night desserts. Don't expect fast service but the place is a classic Ames go to.

Ooh, amazing environment and very hospitable, the staff are very nice and will do their best to meet the needs of guests! Food is great! Haven't tried their outdoor seating but better weather is coming soon and I can't wait!

They have a wonderful atmosphere and great service! I was very impressed with their food and service. The quality of food was amazing. You don’t find places like this in small town Iowa very often. I highly recommend grabbing breakfast at the Stomping Grounds!

They have good food and an upscale atmosphere for a coffee sandwich café. It's slightly more expensive than the other food options in Campustown, and it's slightly better quality. Compared to all the other pizza and sandwich and Chinese places in town, they seem to cater more toward adults or at least students and their parents. There are good seating options both inside and outside.

Very nice selection and tasty food. Excellent chai. Nice assortment of coffee and tea drinks. Cute and comfy atmosphere. A little high priced, but I do love supporting small businesses, and I would definitely come again.

Stomping grounds has a great atmosphere for hanging out to study, meeting up with friends, or a casual meal. The coffee is great, staff are friendly, and it's very well kept. The food is great and offers some classics and some new ideas. Definitely worth checking out and sitting on the patio during the warm months!

Although pricier, the food here is fantastic and yet pales in comparison to the fantastic code and tea selection.

Hot beverages are served in beautiful ceramic mugs made by a local artist. The setting is beautiful and I recommend coming here for any occasion: studying, a bite to eat, seeing a friend, a date.
