The Chocolate Moose-Brown County

Ice cream, milk shakes, desserts and a few hearty food choices. Also decent selection of fair trade coffees. Didn't try it but it smells and looks appealing. Went there for the ice cream and milk shakes. Good quality ingredients make for good quality food. Offers vegan alternatives if you're so inclined. Like places that give you the option but don't make it Dogma.

Best ice cream anywhere...really, really outstanding flavors! Milkshakes are so thick and good going down, you hate knowing it's going to end. Slurping is allowed to get every last drop!!

Cookie dough and Strawberry flavors. Both were delicious!

Delicious hand dipped (and soft serve) ice creams dealt in enormous portions! Seriously, the smallest offering they have is a two scoop. No complaints here!

It has very good shakes, bit a fairly long wait line. Also, the bathrooms are not the best. I loved how they had a couch inside, great idea!

I love the vegan grasshopper option in addition to vegan chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream. They have coffee, food, and ice cream.

I enjoyed my ice cream, but husband did not care for his mocha latte.

As first time Brown County visitors we thought this looked like a cute spot to stop. I will give it, it's clean and comfortable.
We tried it two nights in a row and both were a disappointment.
The first night we went they forgot my husbands ice cream. We were all done eating ours before he was even served. Then the ice cream was subpar.
We returned the second night mainly because the other ice cream spots on the strip close kind of early. We waited in line for a while and literally with ONE person left in front of us they slapped a sign on the register that said cash only.
We only had 10 cash (we typically do not carry cash) so my husband and I said screw it we will just get the kids ice cream and not us...my husband didn't realize (because some prices are not posted) and we were short 1.16.
My husband told the lady he was going to run to the atm and be back. She looked like a deer in headlights. Instead of deleting the transaction she literally held the entire line up and waited for him to return from the atm.
Then we had to wait in line AGAIN to get us food too.
It's okay ice cream at best and I probably wouldn't return if I came back.

Their coffee is bold and flavorful, and i had one of their muffins which was delicious. Plus you can get ice cream there as well. I would suggest the strawberry cheesecake! Both of the servers in their were friendly and very knowledgeable.

The ice cream was pretty good. I've made good homemade ice cream before and I really cant justify 1 scoop for a 2 year old costing almost 5 bucks. So, for me it was just a bit too pricey!
