Sunshine Cafe Muncie

The food was wonderful, got there breakfast and enjoyed there Belgium waffle with the strawberry topping on it, along side of bacon 🥓 then for an appetizer there Chilli with cheese is definitely a must have! My friend got there platter with pancakes that are most definitely unique in flavor compared to the typical pancake 🥞. The atmosphere is very homie and the service is great. Wonderful server and customer care. 👌🏼 definitely a recommendation for breakfast morning or evening and they even have all you can drink coffee for those who love to have a nice cup of Joe. Hope this review helps those who haven't tried there food yet!

We stopped here for breakfast passing through on a road trip. It was very busy, but the wait wasn't long. The coffee was good and they left a carafe for refills which was nice. The sausage gravy was good, the pancakes were fluffy. Everyone cleaned their plate, so that's a good indication that the food was good. The ambiance is like small town diner. Our server was attentive and apologized in advance that the kitchen was running behind, but our food still came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh!
My only gripe would be the bathroom could have been more clean, it was kind of gross.

It was crowded and rated well, so I had high expectations. We waited 40 minutes for our food. I had a 4 cheese omelet and it was fine. I am gluten intolerant, so I chose tomatoes and fruit as sides. These were good. My daughter and MIL had hamburgers. The buns both tasted soured. I let the waitress know, and she said she would tell the kitchen. That was it. No fresh buns were offered and no discounts either. Our waitress was also very irritated. Maybe it was the wait for the food but she was grumpy towards us.
It was my first time here and I have no desire to go back. The prices are good but with the long wait and not so good food, I will find somewhere else. Also, there are very few gluten-free free options here.

Been going here for over 40 years. Still the same great food and service. There are many memories of the Waffle House/Sunshine Cafe. Many Ball State students remember watching the sun rise at the Sunshine on a Sunday morning 🤣

Food was good. Service was decent. Why a 4 star instead of the 5. The bathroom. Was the 1st person in it upon opening & the toilet was pretty dirty.

This place is so delicious, staff is friendly and the place is clean. The food speaks volumes on their skill. Everything is good on the menu! Sometimes there is a wait but you won't be disappointed

Lets face it after alll this food prices service and waiting time is horrible its not excuse they dont have a staff to customers pay the price

1st time visiting, and from the only waitress doing her own bussing in between taking orders and serving warm food, to the cook making a 3 egg meat stacked omelet (which fed me for two more meals) I'm impressed & my wife and I WILL be back!

Breakfast was not bad, but service could improve. We got our drinks right away but took forever to come back and take our order on a not so busy late morning. I ordered my eggs over easy and they came out over medium, but everything else was delicious. Toast was perfectly toasted with just the right amount of butter, bacon was good and crispy just really small. But for $6.99 why would you not eat here.
