Morgenstern's Bookstore & Café

Such a cute little bookstore! I go there to work remotely sometimes - excellent drinks at the café and just a nice quiet place to study or read (of course)

This was my first time here and I fell in love! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was calm, and I left with six books. All in all, a wonderful place. I will be back soon. 15/10

Adorable bookstore where you can study or read a book, while having a coffee. They host various meetings and organizations from time to time. The staff is friendly and kind. I always enjoy being there.

I remember Morgenstern's from my childhood in Bloomington, and how devastated I was when it closed. I tried not to set my hopes too high when it reopened, knowing things rarely live up to one's childhood idealized memories.

But, man, I couldn't imagine it being more perfect than it is now!

The staff are amazing and super helpful without being pushy. I've never seen a place with as many gorgeous children's books that I want to buy. The selection is intentionally diverse and beautifully representative of the Bloomington community. I love that they feature so many local and broadly Hoosier authors, as well as having merchandise made by local artisans.

The prices aren't cheap, but I'm happy to spend a few more dollars here than I would buying from places online knowing that my money stays in my community and goes towards creating the wonderful space that is this bookstore.

Absolutely adore this place! Magical. And the staff are so friends. My favorite is the thoughtfulness put into the assortment of children's books, including books in various languages, representing various cultures, and addresses several important topics. Best.

Great place to browse books and have a coffee. There is also a lot of space to work or study, so it is a perfect spot for a college student or any habitual readers.
