Great coffee and good quality service. Baristas are knowledgeable and focused on making good coffee above fast coffee. However, this can sometimes lead to longer lines and wait times, but it's always worth it. Seating isn't the most comfortable, but it's still a good environment to get work done.

First time in this place. Had the chai latte tea with grass fed milk. BEST I EVER HAD!! Nice to see a non-chain coffee shop packed. I can see why. Excellent service, nice people and amazing, high quality, delicious drinks. My sister-in-law had the hot chocolate and it was equally amazing. Wonderful flavors, natural, not covered up with loads of sugar like most places. I'm surprised Starbucks is still open across the street. Cannot compare to River City Roasters!

Yo, if you are in Wheaton and want some coffee, this is the place to go. Do not expect a Starbucks experience, because this is so much better. The alleyway location also adds a little something to the fun atmosphere.

Great coffee. Great staff. One of my favorite places in Wheaton!

My chai latte was perfect. Not too sweet, not too spicy, and definitely not too overpriced. I love the remodeling they've done, and the abundance of outlets and additional seating coming soon will keep me coming back to work on homework and enjoy a nice atmosphere. Only thing I didn't like was the fact that sound travels fast in there, so loud talkers are pretty amplified to be even MORE loud.

Quality beans locally roasted with an attention to detail gives you a significantly better cup of coffee than any chain can provide. You'll especially love Five & Hoek if you're an espresso aficionado, as their espresso based beverages are some of the best in the west Suburbs (as is Blackberry Market in Glen Ellyn).
The eclectic and industrial feel throughout the entire Cafe definitely make this the best place in Wheaton to not only get a cup of coffee, but stay for a conversation with friends.

Coffee is very good. Their Cortado is excellent. I try to stop by for a cup whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

This is one of the best places in town to grab a cup of coffee. The cappuccinos are absolutely fantastic, and the care with which the baristas do their work is evidence of the quality of the beans they're working with. Prices are great, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the seating is a bit cramped and uncomfortable if you plan on studying for hours at this joint.

Two stars for overall experience. I liked my latte, though I've had better espresso, but I did not like the atmosphere and decoration. Five & Hoek went for that run down, wearhouse look in an actually run-down space. The wooden floors are completely worn out and the decoration doesn't quite mesh. I drank my latte too fast so I didn't have to stay too long.

For a craft coffee shop, it had decent coffee. I didn't get an espresso drink, just a pour over, but it was well made. Prices are what you'd expect at this kind of establishment $3-4 pour over.
The location has a good amount of seating, free wifi, and some outlets scattered around. Quiet atmosphere, but not dead.
