Barista behind the counter was super friendly and offered tons of information about surrounding attractions. The coffee was superb. I had a whiskey vanilla oatmilk latte and the flavor was well rounded and delicious

The coffee is good and there are delicious brunch options here! Our kids loved it! Expected a bit of a wait for our food orders, but it wasn't too long. Friendly staff and nice coffeeshop atmosphere. (Music is a tad on the loud side especially at some spots, so choose seating accordingly).

I walked up and thought the outside of the coffee shop was cute with the tables out in front giving customers the opportunity to sit either inside or out. Entering the cafe I went in the afternoon around 3:00 o'clock and there were a lot of younger teenagers in the coffee shop than I was expecting to be in there.
However I made my way to the counter to inspect the menu and I made the choice of a Hot Hazelnut Latte and when it was given to me by the barista there was an adorable coffee art. Which honestly after my stressful day made my day a lot better. The hazelnut flavor was in attendance but it wasn't overpowering which was great. I always thought good cafes only existed in downtown Chicago but it is nice to now know that I can get that result out in the suburbs as well.

Love the modern rustic look.
Love the wood and metal furniture & decors.
Love the spacious and quiet atmosphere with no echos.
Love the staff and service.
Love the abundant parking outside.
Don't love the coffee. Flat and lifeless.

Beautiful cafe, the employees are so great. Kevin helped me order, and I ended up getting the Beer Cheese Soup, which is amazing! Mason made my coffee. Love it here! Try the bourbon spice latte while it's still in season!

The food was delicious. Very chill spot to enjoy great food, amazing coffee and actual conversation with people. Once the new menu comes out, we will definitely be back.

Nothing like what the old coffee shop that was here used to be; served in a paper cup (without a sleeve) but thankfully the coffee was lukewarm so I didn't burn myself, unfortunately this meant that I had to enjoy my coffee quite fast before it got cold, and the uncomfortable seating did not help make the experience any more enjoyable. They were also out of chai tea and don't carry any white chocolate flavoring, there were only 3 total options for coffee that I could see, plus chai tea & hot chocolate... I'm disappointed there isn't more options.

I did however enjoy the taste of the coffee and the design made with the milk was nice to look at...

Would be worth a 5 star review if the coffee was served hot and in a ceramic mug if I chose to enjoy it there, had comfortable cushioned chairs/sofas/etc, and had more options for coffee.

I would not call myself a coffee drinker. Maybe I’ll have the occasional Starbucks frapecinno or a Bigby Black Forest, but that’s on a rare occasion.

When I went to river city roasters for the first time, I said “what’s the harm, coffee of the day no cream no sugar”.

Little did I know that that that small risk would change my taste buds forever.

Not only has the coffee at Five & Hoeck made me dislike all other coffee, but it has forced me to go there almost everyday since for my daily fix.

Cute, quaint, and friendly staff for all your coffee needs. Love the atmosphere- rustic and industrial.

Love this spot. It’s a clean, modern coffee shop juxtaposed in a creaky historic building. The food and service are way above par and I enjoyed working here for several hours. Don’t miss their brunch menu!! You’ll regret it if you do!!
