Even though this shop is out of my way, I love getting drinks from River City Roasters! I personally don't like heavily roasted coffee and theirs is roasted enough to have a calm flavor. My favorite drink is actually the chai tea latte— you can taste both the spices, the tea, AND the soothing froth! My only drawback is that the high chairs aren't particularly comfortable. However, if you usually do not dine in cafes, this shouldn't even be a problem.

Locally roasted, hand-made coffee drinks served with a smile by hipster baristas in an artsy building. Zero step entrance with non-powered door. During pandemic has been alley way take out only with small waiting are inside. Wheelchair and stroller would be tight but certainly doable.

Love the atmosphere and the coffee- they now roast on site and it smells heavenly! This coffee shop has a hip and urban feel / the owners are true coffee masters and have a great passion for coffee, customer service and community engagement (local and global) .

I'm really surprised at all the rave reviews about the coffee here. I love the atmosphere here and it's a great place to hang out with a friend, or get some work done, but the coffee is not so great. They may just need a nice dark or French roast for the folks that like to drink a cup of black coffee.

If you like good coffee this is the best place in town to get one. I know others don't care for the ambiance, I'm fine with it, I often work remotely here for a good part of the day. But either way, if you want a nice cup of roasted berry juice, then get it here.

Super cool, chill place. I unfortunately couldn't test out many items due to the milk options but I tried an espresso and a hot coffee. The espresso was to bold for me and I am an espresso lover. But this is high quality espresso! Rich carmel-ly, strong, bold, smooth and slightly smokey flavor. If you enjoy a strong bold coffee you will probably love this espresso, it is an experience! The coffee was also pretty bold. It was a smooth low acidity rich flavor coffee, once again not my choice in daily coffee but I did drink most of it. The quality is something you can't find in many places! As a barista at a competitor I was overjoyed with the passion for coffee you can see here. It reminded me why I chose to take my current job. After many years of working with coffee I wanted to feel that love of coffee again, it fell flat at my current job, but River City Roasters reminded me of my love for coffee. They are truly a one of a kind place. Great staff, great coffee, awesome chill vibe and cool atmosphere. What more could you want?! This is definitely not the run in and out type of coffee place as care is put into each handcrafted drink, but if you are in it just for a brewed coffee it would be a quick in and out (if parking and traffic alllows).

What a great experience! Their oat milk alternative is smooth and rounds out the espresso nicely, and does not have any carageenan. Best coffee I've had in a long time!

Sooooooo.... Gone are the days of yesteryear when River City/Five& was the best game in town. There are plenty of other coffee spots around that do it as well or better. Pop by, grab a cup, but it's not what it used to be.

My favorite local coffee shop! Friendly staff, exceptional coffee, & a warm, inviting atmosphere. Love that I can still enjoy my favorite place during this pandemic with seating outside!

The coffee is really good. But with strict travel times being so close to the train station, maybe the focus should be on speed while maintaining quality. Had to run because I almost missed my train. The result being spilt coffee and sticky hands.
