Stan's Donuts & Coffee

Nope. Never again coming here. I always excused the overpriced donuts because they are delicious. However, when my order was not fulfilled and I asked for a refund, said refund never happened. Never got my order, never got my refund. But don't worry, I got a five dollar gift card good for one small coffee or half a donut.

Fly infested tray of donuts in the display case, disgusting! Pointed out issue to the help and walked out without ordering...

They always run out of vegan doughnuts, every time I go they're out!! The prices are way too high!!

My overall grade for Stan's Donuts & Coffee is: B

I don't regularly eat donuts, and every more infrequently, do I drive 20 minutes one-way to go get donuts. One day while checking out an Italian deli known for it's meatballs (review coming up), we noticed that Stan's Donuts had a location in Oakbrook.

My wife is not feeling well, so I surprised her one morning by getting up and making the drive to Stan's to get her some donuts from Stan's.

I ended up ordering 5 donuts and 1 apple fritter - yes, too much for 2 people, but we like to sample bites of somethings and not necessarily finish them if it's our 1st experience trying a new place.

The long and the short of it is, that almost all of the donuts were just too sweet for us. They are super sweet. Not that I don't love extra frosting on my Cinnabun center pieces when I'm there, because Cinnabon's are themselves, not too sweet. But these donuts were too sweet for our tastes and they were covered with sweet frosting.

The chocolate one was the best and is actually the only one we finished. I like the apple fritter, but that too was very sweet. I much prefer a local baker apple fritter which only sells them on Fridays and Saturdays - another review for me to write.

Will I make the drive to get Stan's donuts again? Sure - but it'll be for some out-of-town guests or my kids who Stan's is a great market segment for the younger generation.

I will say that as I walked out of the store at 8:00 AM, there were lots of folks and kids coming into the store - so they are absolutely not hurting for business.

I am probably in the minority, but I will for example, drive to the Donut Vault next time, instead of popping in to Stan's.

Great service - great variety though.

The donuts are fire! The bomb. But I wish they would carry more donuts throughout the day. They never have gluten free after 12. Sometimes sooner. And they run out of everything so quickly. Also coffee is not the greatest. Well for me. But I will continue to visit cuz the donuts are so delish. I just usually put an order in.

This is the second time I went Stan's Donuts. Excellent donuts and coffee. I will be back.

The donuts do not live up to the hype, and I am a donut-lover. These have an unpleasant and waxy aftertaste, and grease that coats your lips. We got the carrot cake, the chocolate covered ones, glazed, and cinnamon covered ones. None of them were good. Worker seemed like he had an attitude.
We went there about 4PM so understandably they weren't freshly made. But I go often to other donut shops at much later timings and they still tast great. These didn't.

Great doughnuts! Very busy, use the app. The only problem I have had with the appis related to doughnuts availability. I have had problems order on the app early morning. It will show some doughnuts not available.

Amazing desserts with good coffee is such a bliss.
I can only recommend the dishes I have tried and coconut donut cake is one of the top.
Latte with a donut is a treat hard to refuse.

Place has a nice ambience and friendly staff. Kudos Stan's Donuts @Oakbrook

Dom/Dominic deserves a raise!!! Absolutely stellar customer service and that is rare to find these days, so he's a real treasure. If my business was up and running I'd recruit him lol
