The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Kea'au

Ordered quad mocha cost $10.+. Starbucks $7.60 and it pleasantly flavored. Thought I was being over dosed with sugar and chocolate. More like a super dose of chocolate milk instead of coffee. Will not return.

Went here a couple times for the morning coffee before we started our trip for the day around Hilo. Around the Nov holidays, they had the holiday specials - tried the peppermint cocoa (not so good) and the red velvet cocoa(pretty good, just like the cake).

Its actually quite a big space with a total occupancy of 76! The staff are courteous and kind! Would definitely visit back to break from the starbucks routine.

A terrible experience here. Sullen staff. Maybe i just got unlucky as others reviewing here had good experiences there. The air conditioning was way too high. Had to get long clothes out. Latte was ok tasting, but half foam (more like a cappucino) so quite small compared to other places. But the worst was when I asked for bathroom key they wanted my ID. Guessing to avoid walkoffs. I didn't have it on me and asked if they could make exception. Nope! Unbelievable. Had to walk over to grocery store. Won't be coming back....

We grabbed a final coffee here before heading to the Kona side of the island, and it was the best cup of coffee I had all week. Maybe that was just since I'd been up since before sunrise with no coffee, but still...

For great coffee in the Hilo area this place is the ticket. Great coffee drinks and above average pastries make it s must stop when a caffeine recharge is in order. It was a little messy in the service area the last time I was there but still 5 stars.

The staff is always friendly and quick with the drinks, the atmosphere is nice and quiet, and it smells like delicious coffee inside. Maybe I'm addicted to caffeine but I can't drive into town without stopping here for an iced latte!

Neat, clean and great foods. One down side is the place is not very handicapped friendly. I'm in a manual wheelchair and there is no easy way to get up on the sidewalk. There are tables and chairs that sit outside that make it nearly impossible to pass on the narrow sidewalk. The inside is roomy though if you can get someone to help you up to the sidewalk.

Great local coffee house. I'm just a basic black coffee person but my family loved their specialty coffees and there breakfast takeout was perfect for on the go.

Good coffee and breakfast items but the order was off (breakfasts not warmed, no cream in coffee). May try ordering inside next time rather than using drive through.

Need help for seating area and quality bakery products.
