The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Kea'au

Coffee is good. Bathroom veryyyyy dirty. The part that pleased me was they were open after 4:00 on a Saturday!

Ok... I've been to quite a few coffee shops in my day. This one ranks with the BEST of them. Quality drinks and food, quality customer service(ALOOOOOHA), free wifi, and an atmosphere branded for coffee/tea and morning enjoyment. LOVE THIS PLACE.

Best cup of coffee in Hawaii and super friendly staff. Gave us a great breakfast recommendation for a local Hawaiian style meal.

This CBTL is a hit or miss place...you never know what your drink is going to taste like until you try it, even though you have ordered it like a million time before. This is not Starbucks, the same drink that you have always order will never taste the same (unless is made by the same barista). That being said, I still go there every week to get the same drink I always get since it is on the way to my work place. My current favorite right now is their Midnight Mocha Cookies & Cream Ice Blended.

This place was so dirty. And the coffee drinks are all made with artificial flavors and fillers. I had a matcha latte and it tasted like chemicals.

I tried to order a hot cappuccino with a shot of raspberry, but they don't have raspberry (very little limited choice of flavor shots). Somehow, the girl I was ordering from suggested a hot chai latte and I sheepishly agreed. It was actually very good, although quite sweet. Service was fast and courteous.

Slow as molasses. Coffees alright if your a junkie like me. It's the only place that has a drive though but is it slow. I mean so slow worse than a Starbucks. My girlfriend would give it a four star despite agreeing it's slow.

Nice selection and ambiance, good service, but kept extremely cold inside. I asked if there was am AC problem and was told that the cold foods case can't hold temperature without the whole room being freezing, lol. Put a glass cover on on it to make a more comfortable space and save the planet please.

Half an hour later: I am back to drop the stars down on further reflection. Seriously my fingers and toes (and my boyfriend's) are still cramped and uncurling from spending an hour and a half in there. Why did we spend an hour and a half you ask? Because the internet kept dropping out, repeatedly resetting our project. Coffee is fine. Lots of fine coffee in this world. Sadly your other options in Keaau are not that extensive; carry on to Hilo if you need more than a quick coffee pick up.

The parking lot and drive-through were a bit crowded and busy, but not terribly bad. I ordered a mocha and blueberry muffin. The guy taking my ordered asked if I wanted the muffin heated up, which was so great! It was very yummy! I was given a mocha latte instead of a regular mocha so would recommend making sure that you confirm the correct order. As I don't like lattes, I can't really give an opinion on whether or not it was a good one.
The staff was very nice and friendly and the overall experience made up for the incorrect drink. I'll definitely go back and just pay a bit more attention when ordering.

Stopped here for the first time last week and have been two more times since then. Great coffee and customer service. Reasonable pricing too. Try it for yourself. Mmmmm
