Tried the Ube Latte both hot and cold - the presentation is beautiful cold, but I think the ube taste comes out fuller with it hot.

Had a macchiato with a shot on the side - it’s clear they take extra care to dial in their espresso really well. 👏

The vibes are great and we were lucky to enjoy some live music! Outdoor and indoor seating with a few high top bar seats as well.

The staff is really friendly and they gave great info when we asked questions about the menu.

Probably the best place to get coffee around town. They have good coffee, great selection of beans at a reasonable price, and good food. Their beans were better than some of the ones I got at coffee farms. I recommend the loaded musubi over the toast. I enjoyed the “HiCO specialty drinks too

Note: Very busy place with little seating! Now onto the food/drinks:
Lilikoi lime 🍋🥤 ($6) - Loved this drink overall, however it was pretty pricey for something that could be done at home. Also it was just a tad bit watered down.
Ube coffee latte 💜☕($7.5) - As a food reviewer I had to try their coffee even though I absolutely hate coffee in general haha. So personally I am very bias on this matter. It's very bitter as usual coffee is.
Spicy crab musubi 🍙🦀($10) - Pricing was somewhat decent. The sauce, I think its supposed to be Sriracha, wasn't fitting. For some reason it was really sweet.
Loaded musubi 🍙($9) - The sauce/siracha was also not to my liking on this one as well for the same reasons as the spicy crab musubi. Overall it wasn't too bad, but I'd prefer homemaking it.

Awesome place for an avo toast for breakfast. If you sign up on their messaging list you get an update of new drinks the have each month. I really recommend place if you’re looking for good vibes coffee shop to just chill with friends or have meet up. There’s also a good poke place next door called Umekes.

Really good coffee and decor! Loved the iced ube Latte. The iced haupia latte is also good. As for food, definitely give the spicy crab musubi and the loaded musubi a go! Overall, great coffee and great place to take pictures!

Excellent coffee and spam mushubis. There was a musician (Jeff Tree?) Who provided wonderful sounds while we enjoyed our light lunch. Cool island vibe for sure.

5 stars for the ube latte and space. 4 stars for everything else. The ube latte had a nice strong espresso flavor with hints of ube. Looks great too. But the cacao latte, watermelon basil refresher, and donuts were ok at best. Well decorated space with cool neon lights and lots of seating and free wifi.

Musibi is pretty good. Basil turkey panini is disappointing. Meat is dry and the whole thing is more like a toasted regular sandwich. Shouldn’t call it a panini when the bread used is not Italian bread. Whole sandwich is wet and floppy from the basil pesto. Coffee wise is average as well, pretty much just like regular coffee where you can get anywhere. Ube cafe is also average, couldn’t taste the ube flavor.

Not a big coffee drinker but aloha to you HiCO
Honestly, if you live on this side of the Big Island and haven’t tried here, you are missing out.

Loved the Ube latte and the musubi loaded
Seriously the order of loaded Musubi was Way Better than I expected. It’s decent portion and decently spicy

Again I’m a tourist but it was one of my favorite place to get musubi

This place has been open for a long time but I never stepped foot in there until yesterday. It's such a cute little spot with good vibes. Decided to stop by for breakfast (I sadly can't do coffee, however, the drinks look delish). Fiancé got the loaded musubi & I got the turkey pesto panini. Not dry like other pesto sandwiches I had before. So yummy & juicy.
