Delicious food, great place for breakfast. There's no dine-in, but it's totally worth it. The prices are great too. A must!

The owner was 100% customer friendly, he went above and beyond to serve us. I called at 6pm asking for malasadas, he said sure come on in I'll show you what I have, even thought was diner time and he was making pizzas. When we got there, the malasadas had just come out the oven (it was tomorrows batch). He went to another store to get his jelly guns and filled them infront of us, and then we had a friendly conversation for about 15mins. Excellent malasadas, we will be returning! Would attach pictures but we ate them to fast :)

My wife brought me coffee and a breakfast sandwich from Maleko this morning on our first morning in O'ahu. Both were absolutely delicious - she also mentioned me the gentleman who runs it in the morning told her that if there was any special flavor of pastry we wanted, to let him know and he would make it special for us to have the next day. So awesome!

Great offerings and prices. From the amazing cold brew to the great pastries and the surprisingly awesome pizza, 5 stars. Pizza was a complete shock how awesome it was. We stopped here each day for coffee too. Great gem

We just got back from our Honolulu vacation and stayed at Royal Monarch. Maleko is located at ground level of the building.
They provide excellent service and great tasting pastries, treats and coffee. Prices can't be beat for the quality of goodies. Their Malasadas are great, everything is freshly made and the place is clean.

A friend of mine told me about how she fell in love with their malasadas when she tried them at a Farmers Market, but they had a store location where you can get them fresh along with your coffee, so I paid them a visit today. Very glad I did. I was very impressed with the overall quality of what they call a malasada but is more like a beignet in my book.
One nice thing about going to the shop location to get their malasadas or again for me, beignets is that they fill them with the filling upon ordering. It really adds to the freshness of them filled doughnut. They had a number of other freshly made pastries to select from as well that looked equally as good and fresh. You can really tell they are made with care and perfection.
They do have an espresso machine, so you can get a cup of your favorite classic coffee drink as well. Their is limited seating, so it is a mostly a to go place. There is also fresh made pizza as well, but I think I came to early for that and didn't see any to critique.
This place is not easy to spot from the street, so you have to hunt a bit to find it. It is also closed by noon, so it is strictly a morning place for your morning pastry and brew. They do setup at the Waikiki Farmer's Market on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so you can find them their in the late afternoon till early evening.
Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

For anyone wanting a decent coffee in Waikiki go see Mark at the Maleko Coffee Shop, downstairs in the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel in Niu St.
Not only does he make great coffee, he also makes incredibly good muffins, danishes, malasadas, bearclaws and other pastries.
Once we discovered this place we pretty much had breakfast covered every day of our holiday.
To top it off, while he's making the next day's pastries each night, Mark can also make you a damn good pizza. Highly recommended!
