Maleko Coffee is a very small corner shop in a hotel. The server was very nice and recommended some pastries. I opted for one of the coconut ball pastries and a vanilla frappe. I usually don't take cold drinks but today was very hot and humid. The vanilla frappe was perfect, not overly sweet like alot of places.
The coconut pastry was also perfect and not overly sweet.
The only downside is they don't let you sit in the shop, but pointed out a place I can sit in the hotel that had a electrical outlet. Very nice of her, she didn't have to do that.
If you are near by, it's worth to stop in and get anything.
4 out of 5 stars because I couldn't sit in the coffee shop. I probably would have purchased more pastries if I was allowed to.

Maleko’s also offers Pizza after 3.30pm. I was walking by and I heard they had good pizza. I stopped and talked to JB. He makes a great pizza!

Great coffee, friendly and efficient staff, and the pastries look tempting - fresh baked over night by the owner. (My food rating is visual - I can't eat pastries.) Early opening time, which is nice for us tourists arriving from an earlier time zone. Reasonable pricing too.

Delicious vegan malasadas! We ordered one with guava and another with coconut filling. Both were terrific. My oat milk latte was also great. Perfect local place in the lobby of a hotel.

The lady that runs this place is super sweet, and it’s probably bc I never had vegan food before but the malasadas are more like donuts (denser) and the vegan custard is different it’s like the vanilla pudding cups you get as a kid but it tastes like powdered sugar. For never having vegan food + wanting warm/ crispy malasadas, I give 3 stars.

Great place for delicious savory and sweet treats and good coffee! The owner was there, and he helped me pick the flavor of their malasada-this is guava. Great fruity flavor, with the donut having a milder sweet taste to let the filling shine. They were quick and friendly. I recommend stopping by!

Love this place! The staff are so friendly and dedicated. The coffee is great and the pastries are top notch. Really enjoyed stopping in each morning on our vacation. Hope to return very soon. I especially loved the malasdas- yum!

Best malasadas, pastries and coffee...the baker even made some special malasadas for my daughter! She loved them. We ate breakfast here every morning during our stay in Waikiki...can't wait to go back

Great place to grab a coffee and a pastry. Must stop when in Honolulu. Have taken two separate week long trips there and go almost everyday its so delicious.

Mocha was meh, cold brew coffee was warm with a few ice cubes, and the breakfast sandwiches had the THINNEST layers of egg and meat. It was mostly velveeta-type cheese in a bland bun.
Flies everywhere, nowhere to stand before or after ordering, no chairs or tables anywhere nearby... honestly have no idea why they have good reviews. We went to several other coffee shops in the area on other days and had FAR better coffee and breakfast.
The staff was friendly at least?
