Service was good đź‘Ť. Nice little clean place w/ inside and outside service. Fried cheese was indeed good. All other food was pretty salty and overcooked, including sausages and Cordon Blue. Tea wasn't anything special. Like many places in Helen, it seemed to be run by kids.

Best German restaurant I've eaten in!! The balcony area was extremely lovely with the lighting, and vibe is more classy compared to nearby German restaurants. Staff was amazing and the food was impeccable! Best food I've had. Portions were very generous and quality was on point. I would recommend the Jaeger Schnitzel! Only gripe from my visit was that it took us 50 minutes to get our food which was a bit too long to wait for food. But overall, it was great!

This was the best food we had on our entire trip. Would highly recommend this for anyone wanting good food.

It was not too busy when we were there and we sat outside. It was a little bit chilly, so I cannot speak to the atmosphere so much, but the food was awesome.

This is a must visit on a trip to Helen.
I recommend the chicken schnitzel sandwich, the bun was great and the chicken was perfect.

We wanted to try some German food while in Helen and this spot looked like our best bet. We made the mistake of visiting during Oktoberfest. This involved a headache trying to find parking and a very long wait at the restaurant.

My husband and I shared:
- Fried Cheese Kebab Appetizer
- Jaeger Schnitzel with Spaetzle
- Kaese Schnitzel with Potato Salad
- Peach Strudel
- Apple Strudel

My top two dishes were the Jaeger Schnitzel and the fried cheese. I loved the mushroom sauce in the schnitzel and you can't go wrong with fried cheese. I think the mozzarella was my favorite so I'd go with that next time.

I think they used canned peaches in the peach strudel and I'm a bit of a stickler for fresh peaches in dessert. I probably wouldn't go for that one again.

If you're looking for good German food in Helen, I'd recommend coming here. I'd definitely avoid Helen all together during Oktoberfest if you don't like crowds.

On the weekends of Oktoberfest, we were told it was an hour & 45min wait. Wasn't going to wait that long. Came back on a Monday and it was about a 30 min wait. The food was "interesting." Never have I ever seen a place centered around cheese; unique concept. The food was very tasty from the salad, potatoes and fried ham stuff sharp chedar. Staff was friendly and prompt. Drinks never went dry.

Small but comfy little place in Helen Georgia. The grilled Brats and sauerkraut were good. The cabbage was delicious. My girlfriend had cheese fries and a salad. She says they were good.

It was a busy Sunday during the Christmas season, so we certainly didn't mind a 20 minute wait to get seated. But, from the time we were seated until the time we received our appetizer was about 45 minutes. Another 20 minutes to get our lunch. Also, they were out of the soup I ordered with my sandwich, but we did not learn of that until just after the appetizer arrived. The fried mozzarella appetizer was quite good. The pork schnitzel sandwich was pounded too thin, breaded too heavy, fried too long, and tasted too much of salt.

I must say, coming into this place I wasn't too sure what I was going to get. I had never been to a German restaurant and all. The fried cheese sign outside brought us in, and boy it did not let me down. I got the pork tenderloin, red cabbage and it was a 8/10 should've got it without cheese. The people here are some of the nicest people. The restaurant was a little tight but i did have the family with me.

Quaint little place in Helen, Georgia. The town is worth exploring, too. Good food, taste it before you season it. You get a lot for your money, I was so full, I didn't get dessert and they looked delicious. Plan to go back for octoberfest.

Actually we enjoyed it!!
Literally everything is cheese!!
The service does speak a second language, probably their first language, but they were still friendly and fantastic. Everyone was accommodating to my two year old and treated her like a person not a bother. We ordered and it came fast. We would go again.
