Muller's Famous Fried Cheese Cafe

Never had German food before, but for my 1st time, this was absolutely delicious!!! It's a small establishment, but full of energy. The staff were very friendly, as well. A must try. The fried brie was yummy! The chocolate fudge cake was rich, dense and moist. And the schnitzel, cabbage and sauerkraut was amazing!! LOVED IT!

We stopped at Muller’s today for lunch, and it didn’t disappoint! I had the fried Cheddar cheese and ham appetizer which came with some tossed greens, 2 toasted bread points and ranch on the side. There was what seemed like a honey mustard dressing on the greens when served, and I should have said “on the side” because it was way too much for me, but my fault.
My husband ordered from the ‘all day brunch’ menu bratwurst with sauerkraut, fried potatoes, and 2 eggs. It was really good, but 2 hours later, he is still needing tums! Quite rich if you’re not used to it (he’s not). The sauerkraut was some of the best we’ve had!
The interior is quite cozy, and the staff was very friendly and prompt. All in all, a great place to stop for lunch, or dinner and on a side street so not on the main drag with massive lines.

Had a great experience here! We started with loaded french fries that were topped with cheese and bacon. They were coated very well with the cheese and bacon. The fries were cooked great with just enough crunch with each bite. Our meals were fantastic. Our meal came out about 20 minutes after placing the order. Each meal was fresh and hot. Each one was loaded with flavor! The fried cheese batter was very light and crunchy. The pasta with onions and bacon was excellent. Both soups had great seasoning. The fried cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and pickle was very good to my surprise! (I had never tried anything like that.) Everyone there was very nice and polite. For dessert, 1 of my boys had chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone and the other one had an icecream sundae with vanilla ice cream topped with caramel and cookie crumbles. Both were excellent! The ice cream was soft-serve style. The dining area and bathroom were very clean. I definitely recommend eating here. We will be back each time we visit Helen.

Cons: Inside is very tight if you have a family. We are a family of 5. 2.) The bathroom is very small and they do not have a changing table.

We absolutely loved our experience at Muller's Famous Fried Cheese Cafe in Helen GA! We drove down from Tennessee 3/26 to stay for our Anniversary and drive back 3/27. We ate at Muller’s Saturday night and enjoyed the flavorful meal and wonderful service we went back for breakfast and it was just as wonderful!! ALL the staff were very kind and professional! and the food was by far my favorite and definitely worth the two hour drive down in the future! ❤️ thank you for the wonderful experience!

This place was definitely worth the quick stop for lunch. Service was great, food was even better. I had the goulash and potatoes. She had the fried cheese dish with a salad. I also had a waffle cone with the mixed swirl. The lady serving us was fantastic and the other lady behind the bar was just as great. Prices were fair. Atmosphere felt very cozy and rustic. We sat in the other dining area on the right side of the restaurant away from the bar. Highly recommend if you're in Helen to eat here.

Great place to eat! We went on a super crowded weekend and got there at 1130ish and our wait was only 15min! We got fried mozzarella cheese for appetizer and it was 10/10...so good! My husband ordered fried ham and cheddar cheese/ potato salad and loved it! My daughter ordered grilled chicken salad and it was the best one I have ever tasted..she is 10 and commented how fresh everything was..I ordered the marinated beef sirloin with root vegetable cream sauce 10/10 just the cream sauce and bread could have been a whole meal!! The serive was top notch and they made sure we always had refills and everything we needed!! I added pics but we ate the appetizer before I could snap one of it!

This is place is FANTASTIC! From the food to the employees, it was overall a great place for a bite to eat. We had Aliyah and Jackie served us for the evening and they were both truly a delight! They made our experience absolutely wonderful. If you ever want good coffee, ask for Aliyah, she made my husband and I some delicious coffee that was perfectly blended. And the food was GREAT! The fried cheese was a win and I ate every last bite. If you’re ever in Helen GA, make sure you stop by for great food and even better service!

We came here for lunch on a Saturday. We were seated in the covered outdoor area at picnic table style seats. We ordered all three of the fried cheese appetizer and the Cheddar was the unexpected favorite! I’d definitely recommend the Cheddar and ham fried cheese! The schnitzels were delicious as well and we all ordered too much food as they are hefty portions. The only issue was we waited for a long time for our checks and then a long time for them to run our cards and bring them back. I didn’t time it, but it was maybe a half hour from when they cleared our dishes to when we left because we were waiting to pay. I’d recommend asking for your bill early! I’d definitely come back for some fried cheese and probably share an entree with a friend.

This restaurant has The Best Potatoe Salad!!!

This is our second visit to this restaurant, and the food their has been consistently great.
Their Weiner Schnitzel comes 4 different ways, which I'm sure is all delicious because the base is the same, a wonderful pounded and fried pork patty (which is huge)!
Brats are delicious and perfectly cook.
Waitresses are attentive and friendly.
They have outdoor and indoor seating.
Definitely worth the visit.

We were looking for a pup friendly restaurant and happened to stop here! Amazing server and oh gosh the food is beyond delicious! There's a wonderful outdoor seating area and it's located just far enough from the main road that you can enjoy the scenery. We'll definitely be back again!
