The noodles with mushroom sauce was really good.

But one bathroom that accommodates one customer isn't adequate for the size of the place. Also, the bathroom line is right by the tables, and the door to the bathroom opens directly into the dining room. The toilet is about 5 feet from the closest table.

Recommend this place 100%!

Absolutely delicious! The Bratwurst and sauerkraut were so flavorful and the massive serving of fries were great. The fries were perfectly crispy and some of the best fries we’ve had.

My wife loved the fried cheese sandwich and ordered it with a side of Goulash and loved that too!

The first day we ate here, we waited A LONG time for our food. The kitchen was backed up. The waitress was friendly and kept our tea/coffee filled. When we got our order food was hot and fresh. I had pancakes with strawberries and blueberries. The pancakes were very good. My husband and dad had ham and cheese omelet and both said it was delicious. My mom had country breakfast both times we went. The first time there, a sweet lady brought our little dog a small bowl of water and asked if it was okay to give her a treat. The next day we went back for brunch. The same waitress took our order and again we waited, not quite as long as before. What really upset me was, the table next to us was offered dessert for their wait. Obviously, our time wasn't as important both days! 🚩The second day, our little furbaby was NEVER offered water, but guest after us dogs were given water 🚩my husband and I both got the burger with fried cheese. Neither one of us thought it was that good. The waitress was very tentative to making sure our drinks were filled. But the food is not that fantastic and definitely not worth 45 minutes + wait. The first day, we waited around 45 minutes. The waitress told us our food would be another 15 minutes because the kitchen being backed up, we can understand places are shorthanded. The second day, the people next to us said they returned because their food came out within 10 minutes. They said they had already been waiting 30 minutes. (They were offered free desserts and apology). We waited 30+ minutes for our food, and our furbaby was never even offered a water bowl!!! Nope. There won't be another 🚩. I wouldn't recommend this place. The waitress will keep you tea or coffee full. She has a sweet personality. Not that I wanted a free dessert, my point is we weren't even asked either day for our wait, especially the 1st time. We went back the 2nd time to give it another try. I didn't even eat 1/2 of the burger. It had 0 flavor to it. We visit Helen often, we might go here for ice cream, but consistency is important to me. What you do for other, do for all.

The potatoes were good. Other than that, I wasn’t impressed. Dont order a Cappuccino, that was a joke. While we were eating, the entire time all I could hear was multiple cooks coughing up a lung in the kitchen. It was such a turn off while trying to eat.
Don’t recommend for breakfast.

Great food and great service. Lived how intimate and small the restaurant was. We were sat immediately when we walked in at 6:45pm on a Saturday night. The fried cheese app was great but kind of regretted eating it. The Hungarian goulash was amazing. Very tender and flavorful. The schnitzel was good as well but it wasn't pounded flat. Not sure if they skipped that step because they close at 8 or what, but it was still tasty. The apple strudel was amazing as well. I highly recommend the apple strudel.

This place was recommended to me by a friend and it was really awesome. First of all the atmosphere is very nice and cozy, and secondly the food is really good and authentic. We really enjoyed the food and the service was really good and attentive. We ordered the fried cheese kebab and if you are a cheese lover then it's a must order. We also had the schnitzel. We would definitely go back there.

Our first trip to Helen this is where we decided for lunch it was amazing. We got the Jaeger snitzle and mozzarella stuffed ham. Both were so delicious. The pork was so tender and juicy and fried cheese come on. Who can't help bit love that. We got both dishes with the roasted potatoes. Giant plates so definitely worth the money.

The staff could have been a bit more professional; we could hear their conversation and laughter. They were louder than all the guests, but we didn't hear anything inappropriate. So just try to work on professionalism even when not serving a guest so that the staff looks nice at all times. You can try to keep busy by, wiping down surfaces, organizing random things, sweeping, etc. Huddling and talking is fine, but it was distracting because they were so loud.

A food experience unlike any other you’ll ever have and a must-visit restaurant in Helen. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive and the food was amazing. My wife and I got two of the fried cheese appetizers. I highly recommend the fried Brie.

This seemed to have the most interesting menu of all the restaurants in town so we were eager to try it. Lines were always long so we went in enough time about three in the afternoon which we were able to get in for in about a half an hour. We went over to Cowboys and Angels and got a mug of beer and came back, perfect timing. Outside seating and smaller inside seating. Very friendly staff.
The sauerbraten was a bit strange. It came with a dollop of whip cream on top, the bread that I was not the biggest fan of but my wife enjoyed, the sauce was not too flavorful, and it did not come with any sauerkraut. The fried cheese appetizer which had cheddar cheese and Brie cheese was just as disappointing. I’ve had better fried cheese sticks in bars. The brie cheese was the cheap rubbery Brie cheese that never melted, and the cheddar cheese had melted so much that most of it leaked out of the breading.
