I rented the roots for my 16th birthday party and I had the time of my life. Not only was it an amazing place for pictures and to hang out, but it was an experience i will never forget. The staff (Brandon and the manager) were extremely kind to us and helped me through the process of renting and decorating. It was a very put together process and the coffee (strawberry nitro especially) was AMAZING!!! If you want to have a smaller or bigger party the roots is an amazing space to rent, not even pricey honestly. I would definitely recommend coming here for a party or just to hang out in the upstairs and have coffee, very good vibes and very very incredible staff.

Canopy is my favorite place to sit and hang out, so homework, do art, pretty much anything and everything. The owners and baristas are all so kind and welcoming — they’ve even been gracious enough to allow the downstairs for a house church weekly on Tuesdays. The Lord rests on this place. The atmosphere of this place is so special — one of my favorite coffee shops in the world! :)

We were at Canopy and the Roots last night for the Hughes Taylor Band. OMG, what an awesome night!! The venue is sheer perfection for listening to our local and soon to be famous musical talent that we are so fortunate in have in our wonderful town!! We can't wait to go back. Highly recommend Canopy and the Roots for their music venue!!!

This place is so great! I had peanut butter powder in my Coffe and my wife had lavender in her chai. There is a phenomenal, two-story concert venue downstairs. With a beautiful club room and balcony seats on the upper story of the downstairs. Bar and stage on the lower. Really remarkable. Evan was a really kind, fun barista making our drinks and giving us advice about the town.

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner at the roots for my son and daughter in law. After the rehearsal dinner the whole group went upstairs and bought coffee.
This venue has the coolest vibe and Brandon and his wife were so helpful. She even helped us decorate and figure out seating. We had them bottle some of their coffee syrups as gifts for the bride and groom and wedding party. They were labeled M&T and their wedding date.
The night was literally perfect. Our family made some wonderful memories here with our son and his wife. Also, the coffee is amazing! We will visit every time we are in Dahlonega.

Canopy was such a fun event space and “the roots” was a great match with our jungle theme! All of the employees where so nice and helpful. I’ve done yoga here for a while and always love their coffee, but this was my first time at an event downstairs and it did not disappoint!

We rented out the Canopy&Roots for a wedding rehearsal and it was amazing! The vibe and decor are awesome and the staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate our fairly large wedding party (50+ people) for the rehearsal. The coffee is fantastic too! This is a hidden gem in Dahlonega (no pun intended!) and we highly recommend it for a wedding rehearsal or private party or to simply catch a show or grab a cup of coffee!

Unexpected (& oh so happy). When I travel I seek local coffee shops as there is nothing like a well-made latte (I prefer an Oatmilk Mocha). This place was spot on with top tier coffee experiences. Cozy atmosphere, thoughtful and imaginative decorations, alongside friendly staff; bonus for plentiful indoor/outdoor seating. I am so so glad they were walkable in the downtown Dahlonega Square. P.S. I noted that they also had a yoga studio and music venue (The roots section below).

This is the best coffee shop in town! The owner is really great and you can tell he truly cares about his customers. There building out the live music space below the coffee shop and it’s gonna be awesome. The Barista is also super friendly and it’s just an all around great atmosphere. I would highly recommend giving it a shot while in Dahlonega.
