Canopy + the Roots Coffee

As one of the 1st performers during the grand opening celebrations, I must say I was very impressed with this new coffee shop and venue! The staff is just wonderful and the space is amazing, unique and cozy. The coffee shop level has the perfect atmosphere and there is also a space for yoga. The live performance level is intimate and edgy. I would love to see an open mic here just because of the really cool space. The overall theme is very creative. You can tell this place will have a very positive impact on the surrounding communities and the nearby college community!

Great atmosphere and coffee. Really enjoyed my lavender latte (would suggest) and the seating was extremely comfortable. Really love the thematic that they have gone with along with the attitude present in the shop. I think the membership program that they have is actually a really good and novel concept. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be returning a few more times during my stay in the area.

One of the coolest coffee shops I’ve ever been too! Coffee was amazing (we had two dirty chais), staff was welcoming and friendly, the owner chatted with us for awhile and was extremely welcoming and let us peak downstairs at the venue area even though it was closed. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Superb room for listening to great music. The owners are so hospitable. They have created a great space that’s a huge asset to Dahlonega. We enjoyed our night there so much. Will definitely be back!!

Good coffee and just a great ambiance. As soon as you walk in, your greated with wave of zen and tranquility. The chill music and the decor makes this place very inviting. If that wasn't enough to level you out, they also offer yoga classes all week. Definely a must if your visiting Dahlonega.

Coffee was good but it was way too slow. People who came later got their orders earlier than us. After a while, the coffee finally arrived. It took about 20 or 25 minutes to make three coffee. But there was no apology for that.

My go to place to get delicious coffee, quick snack and work whenever I’m in town. I love the organic look of the greenery and plants along with the macrame hangings on the wall that are also for sale by a local artist! The staff is always so friendly. My go to is a lavender or salted caramel latte - all the lattes are made with oat milk and they’re oh so delicious! They have gluten free muffins made by the Twisted Whisk which is a dedicated gluten free bakery. I’ll usually pick up 2-3 of these while I’m in town for a quick baked good or for breakfast the next morning. They offer yoga in the studio and events in the “roots”! Love this place!!

We booked the Roots for a private event and everything went flawlessly. The booking is simple and quick. The ambiance is amazing and it creates a perfect atmosphere for an intimate party. The owners make it so that you get there and everything is ready for you. I recommend this venue wholeheartedly.

I spent the morning at Canopy and enjoyed a latte, It was amazing. The coffee got me through the door but I realized once I got inside it was so much more than a coffee shop it was a whole social experience. I saw their yoga studio while ordering, which is truly beautiful and bright, and then once visiting the restroom downstairs I found the listening room. I asked about it and they do live events, music, and comedy shows down there! I am so excited to come back for the comedy show on Friday. Great space, amazing experience, lots of fun! You have to check this place out.

I loved the venue! Everyone was very helpful and professional. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here and it was a great place to hang out with family and friends! Very chill vibes. Coffee is great too! I like their rosemary drink as well as their lavender one!
