Great staff, wonderful owner and the product they produce is superior.
Pricing is comparable to luxury coffee elsewhere and is justified (best brew I've had on the east coast!!!).
The coffee is hand roasted, and the beans curated by the owner who has a deep passion for his craft and a good eye for business.
Would be a suitable place to bring a business partner for a quick cuppa or even a date- the decor is modern and airy; the music is chill. It's a treasure.

Black Gold is hands down best coffee in our area! The environment is fantastic and the open view coffee roasting area is super cool to watch. The owner is very passionate about his product and service and it shows in quality and experience of your visit. If you're not drinking Black Gold, reevaluate that poor life decision and go visit Black Gold for an excellent cup of coffee and delicious food items!

My favorite coffee shop! Whether you enjoy a simple cup of black coffee or more adventurous options like lattes and cold brew, Black & Gold has something for everyone. They roast their coffee on site which makes for great theater if you are lucky enough to stop in during roasting time. Everything I have tried is excellent including their food and baked items which always look tantalizing.

Gary, the owner has a passion for coffee and is incredibly knowledgeable. He has created an awesome gathering spot for locals with attention to detail and cheerful customer service. I always look forward to my morning coffee when I’m visiting Venice!

I've been coming to this coffee shop for about 6 months now. The coffee is great, the owner is friendly, and the gluten free macaroons are awesome! Not once have I heard the owner scream at any staff. When I am in there he's talking with customers as he roasts coffee beans. I'd hate to see anything happen to a great local business for some upset employees. It's easy to pass judgement if you're not a business owner, and can't see things from the other side. Please visit this business and form your own opinion. Support your local businesses.

Best coffee, ever!! Love the Red Condor and the Organic Espresso.

As full-time residents of Florida, we enjoy occasional visits to Black Gold Coffee Roasters. The food on the limited menu is very good, the coffee is great and I enjoy interacting with the staff. I've spoken with the owner several times and I find him to be extremely intense. He must know that responding to negative reviews is never a win for an eatery. In his defense, he has a problem with Internet Squatters who spend few dollars and much time using free wifi. Perhaps there is a way to limit the amount of time a device can stay online for a specific length of time. The squatters at Starbucks disrupt the experience for regular customers. Chill owner, your business has it going.

One of my all time favorite coffee shops! When I am in town I come here every day. Will be ordering their beans to my house!

Clean, well maintained coffee shop. They also roast their own beans on the premises. Excellent breve lattes. My favorite espresso drink.Their muffins and zucchini bread are wonderful as well! I just wish they didn't close so early.

I moved to Venice Florida with my wife 8 months ago from Slingerlands NY. We had a coffee in the area that was really excellent and the company won a contest to play their small business video commercial at half time at the superbowl a few years ago.
Having said that, I think Black Gold Coffee Roasters is every bit as good, IF NOT BETTER!
I prefer the Organic Black Blend and buy 2 pounds at a time!
I highly recommend this coffee roaster to anyone who is looking for a great coffee.
