Black Gold Coffee Roasters

This is a great spot & awesome coffee too. I frequent anotherprivately coffee shop closer to me in SRQ and all the other typical we see on every other corner.
I set up my laptop and enjoyed the atmosphere and loved the coffee too. Again, awesome place & coffee!
Unbeknownst to me, the other coffee shop I frequent, next visit in I realized they use/sell Black Gold coffee!!!

Excellent service. Had a double shot cappuccino with Almond milk froth, made perfectly.

Cozy coffee shop with the most amazing coffee. I love iced coffee and they do it the best. A large 20oz for $4.50. Staff are excellent and very upbeat.

Black Gold is more like a Diamond in the rough and an absolute gem. The staff is so courteous, friendly, kind, hard working, and attentive to detail. Such a nice and comfortable place to grab coffee, fresh made baked goods (including gluten free and vegan), artisan chocolate, and assorted truffles. This is no doubt one of my favorite places to go in Venice and one of my favorite coffee shops in Florida!

Black Gold coffee roasters is more then a coffee shop. My wife and I are winter birds in Florida. We found Black Gold coffee roasters approximately six years ago. It has been our go to coffee shop. Not only is the coffee phenomenal, the atmosphere and welcoming feeling are also top notch.
Gary and his wife are there every day. Gary actually roasts the coffee beans right there in the store which you can watch. They purchase beans from all over the world which is also really cool.

So if you’re looking for a great cup of coffee and amazing pastries check them out.

The owner is awful! He steals tips from his employees! Always tip with cash here because all CC’s go to his pocket.

Owner frequently heard shouting and yelling at kids for very simple mistakes. I’ve personally watched him make an employee cry. Slam things on the ground aggressively and heard frequent yelling from behind closed doors.

I have met with former employees and they have shared traumatic stories from the owner. The sad part about this review is I actually like the coffee….but man is evil. Someone should stop him, other good coffee in Venice are the venetian roasters.

This place is a gem. We pack my family into the car and make a specific trip into Venice just to buy coffee here. It's the best coffee I've had in the USA. Gary, the owner and master roaster, is equally a gem. The whole operation is a testament to what you get when you put soul into your craft. He's made it an artform. This is exactly what makes the world better.

Local coffee roaster with beans from around the world, he's even beaten Starbucks to a few growers. Pastries and sandwiches are served here as well. Highly recommend the blue/blackberry cobbler muffin.

Excellent service & place to meet up with a friend or two. 2pm close is a bummer somedays. Tell Gary I sent you if you're looking for work in the kitchen/counter.
